Not that young these days but still playing
Jordan Cook has now signed a one-year deal with Shildon in non-league ahead of the 2024-25 season having played with Blyth Spartans last campaign. Cook has also enjoyed stints with Hartlepool United and Gateshead in recent years.

I went to school with his mam <laugh>

I periodically look up all of our ex academy players, here's a few that might jog the memory:

For a few games, max. He was awful overall. Soft as ****e too.
He’s still making a living out of the game which is certainly more than I ever have. He might not be great but he’s done something that you, me and everyone else on this board would have sold our parents for, pulling on the red and white stripes of SAFC and representing the club.

I got dog’s abuse (OTR) for calling him ****e when he was here.

I thought he was shocking. Genuinely never seen a professional footballer be so bad at heading a ball or taking a throw in.

Ellis Taylor playing for Harrogate against Preston in the cup tonight.
They’re 1-0 down early on. I do hope Preston go through mind, the more teams at our level playing midweek games - the better.

Not sure if many will find this interesting but here goes:

Jack Diamond, Stockport, League One.
Started and played 73 minutes in a 2-0 win.

Henry Fieldson, Queens Park, Scottish Championship.
Named on the bench in a 1-1 draw with Livingston, didn't get on the pitch.

Michael Spellman, Newport, League Two.
Didn't make the bench in a 3-2 defeat.

Ellis Taylor, Harrogate, League Two.
Got the last 9 minutes for Harrogate in a 2-0 defeat.

Quick update:

Jack Diamond is in and out of the team, 8 starts and 5 subs with 1 goal so far.

Henry Fieldson has become a first team squad regular and is featuring mostly at left back, 10 starts, 2 subs and 1 assist so far.

Michael Spellman took a while to get himself into the matc day squad but seems to be doing alright from the bench now, 3 starts, 8 subs with 1 goal and 1 assist.

Ellis Taylor has become a first team regular and 3 goals so far this season.
