I periodically look up all of our ex academy players, here's a few that might jog the memory: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blair_Adams https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trevor_Carson https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Dennehy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Hartley_(footballer) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liam_Noble_(footballer) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Reed_(footballer,_born_1991) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oumare_Tounkara
Barry Dunn's boy is doing ok since he was released Davis Keillor-Dunn https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davis_Keillor-Dunn funny how Barry isn't mentioned on his wikepedia page https://www.a-love-supreme.com/single-post/keillor-dunn-on-return-to-safc
Cracking player Jordan was as a young’un my son played at the academy for a couple of years with him, remember his fatha was a good lad
Probably doest count as a released youngster but Denver Hume has been ****ing **** for Grimsby tonight. Currently 4-1 to Notts County.
He’s still making a living out of the game which is certainly more than I ever have. He might not be great but he’s done something that you, me and everyone else on this board would have sold our parents for, pulling on the red and white stripes of SAFC and representing the club.
I got dog’s abuse (OTR) for calling him ****e when he was here. I thought he was shocking. Genuinely never seen a professional footballer be so bad at heading a ball or taking a throw in.
Ellis Taylor played another 90 minutes at the weekend Seems like he’s settled in very well at Harrogate
They’re 1-0 down early on. I do hope Preston go through mind, the more teams at our level playing midweek games - the better.
Quick update: Jack Diamond is in and out of the team, 8 starts and 5 subs with 1 goal so far. Henry Fieldson has become a first team squad regular and is featuring mostly at left back, 10 starts, 2 subs and 1 assist so far. Michael Spellman took a while to get himself into the matc day squad but seems to be doing alright from the bench now, 3 starts, 8 subs with 1 goal and 1 assist. Ellis Taylor has become a first team regular and 3 goals so far this season.
