Willock is a far superior player.. if Longstaff is good enough he should be able to get hold of the game vs Bournemouth. If I'm not watching him running around yards of the pace and falling over the ball ill be very surprised. Willock isn't match sharp yet so there's no chance of seeing the end quite yet. The day longstaff krafth Murphy Burn and almiron are not getting games Newcastle will be challenging the top 6....I will not budge on this... I'll wait.
Howe made good decisions v Southampton. Firstly starting Tino ahead of Trippier.. Bringing Krafth on AND changing formation when we went down to ten to 4-3-2..not playing with wingers so that Southampton couldn't stream through the middle. Then bringing Kelly on for Hall, more of a defender as we had to go all out defensive.
We finished 5th once too but we weren't really there as a club. Newcastle had a good season that can happen and it's all it was. Those players are not good enough to compete in top 6 clubs consistently.. none of them would get in the big 6s sides.
Yes but some players in the other top 6 teams wouldn't get in ours either.. Only Haaland for example would get ahead of Isak.
Your wrong mate, over a period of 18 months solid we were top 4, beating just about everyone. That wasn't a fluke over 18 months. Last season was wrecked due to a lack of quality strength in depth, which takes time. I reckon we'll be good again this year but I'll admit it was alarming how sloppy we looked at times last weekend.
The players I'm mentioning wouldn't be playing regular first team football in any of the big 6 sides and that's the bottom line. They need replacing an relegating to the bench urgently and when that happen we will start getting somewhere. I don't dislike them I'm just making it clear.
They came 4th once mate that's a good season. I can't be wrong that's just what happened. The club simply wasn't and isn't there yet in reality. The club is pesky in comparison to the elite clubs and finishing 4th didn't change that... we're a decade away. I hope they're good this season but I'll be very very surprised if they finish higher than 7th.
Dyche's interview was fantastic. "hard to manage a club with no money" "We had a young fantastic player who we grown to lead the squad and he's sold. That's the realities at Everton."

Everton play at home to Bournemouth next so at least when the toon do the usual away day bottle job they'll have sent Bournemouth to Goodison feeling like the next Barcelona.
I'm sure that one of the BBC mods is a Makem The amount of times my posts get removed for nothing is unbelievable
I do remember people saying Danny Simpson wasn’t EPL quality just before he left us to win the title at Leicester.
