Over here, queue jumping happens a lot Mrs Elfs and me went out for something to eat, normally the waiters/garcons as known over here, come to you to pay. On this occasion I went to the till, a woman with seemingly her mother, were paying so I waited. A man came in connected to the couple had a receipt to pay. Clearly, for the fat ginger prick I was waiting to pay, but he went to pay. I could not be bothered with the Portuguese and said " I'm next". The woman came out with "oh meu dieus ele Inglese" Translated oh my God, he's English! I did not respond as I would have been rude. I paid my bill next though
According to a poster on another forum @Elfsborg från Borås has a small penis ? I hate to raise the size of a much respected 606 member’s appendage , so I didn’t, I mentioned Elfs instead.
I get back to London this Saturday nightback for 3 months to brighten people's lives a lot more. I have set up a gofundme group, for the past 18 months I have been paying no more than £2 for a drink.
£4.70 for a Kronenbourg on the OKR, I can suffer that. My objective for the next three months is to not pay more than £6 a drink.
Do not go in the Pride of Paddington pre Reading on Saturday. I bought two pints in there with my son - £14
Went in the Hare and Billet last weekend - £9.20 for a glass of wine and £7 for a pint ! I didn’t stay long after our meal
In West London many pubs are owned by Fullers Brewery. The cheapest lager is Amstel at around £6.80. You have to delve into rougher parts of the capital to find a Spoons, where they sell piss water like Fosters and Carling for £2.99. We could start a thread on pubs & Spoons @ElfsborgAddick Their standards have declined sharply in recent years. On my most recent and likely last visit, the food was both expensive & dreadful. The beer is as flat as Millwall’s Back 4. It was said to me that Spoons went down hill after Brexit, because so many of their staff were low paid, low skilled Eastern Europeans, who went home. Nowadays Spoons only thrives in run down parts of the world like Gaza, Yemen and Wrexham.
@ElfsborgAddick Will you be visiting any of your old watering holes in Bromley this week like the Greyhound, or the Bricklayers ? Let them know in advance if you are, the landlord will put the Wendy House out in the beer garden for you
