Aye that player that seems to almost walk about the pitch hardly breaking into more than a jog but still being absolute class!
It seems effortless to them. Head and shoulders above the normal. Having said that I’m loving the honesty and effort of the current squad!
Jobe is the nearest to that at the moment imo ... ... I can imagine him going back to the changing room and folding his kit ready for the next game
It's what's underrated about Allardyce and his management. Despite BSA being viewed as a dinosaur, despite the rumours of financial wrong doings and him jumping ship for cash, he knew how to look after players to get the best out of them. He nursed Kirchhoff through games, protected him, rested him, used him when it was right and didn't when it wasn't. Moyes on the other hand almost did the opposite and caused Kirchoff to break down far too often. Goes to show the difference between the twos mindsets.
Used to say "if we had Harry Kane upfront he wouldn't score" with the way we used to play, almost ignoring any CF we played. Just shows what a different coaching approach can do so quickly, especially with players willing to listen/learn.
I thought he struggled on Saturday but he’s more than played his part in a cracking start to the season I think he’ll be useful coming off the bench late on. A better option than Rusyn has been.
