What a performance, both in n out of possession that was class!!

Every single player played their part and totally buzzing for Mayenda with those 2 goals!!

Our midfield 3 deserves a special mention, all 3 were class - Neil controlled things both in n out of possession, Rigg just wow what a performance and i thought last week was Jobe's best performance, well this weeks beats it

Also, Alese really good at CB

Motm is so hard to call as probably a few candidates but id give it to Rigg as that 1st half performance was a joy to watch

Dennis Cirkin...outstanding! Rigg, next up, Jobe and O9 not far behind.

Just noticed sky didn’t name a MoM. Is that new this season or did they just forget as the game had been over for so long?

I thought this game was going in a very different direction at the beginning. Delighted.

Anyone with more knowledge than me considered the result vs Southampton at home last year? Wonder if this is another anomaly or more the real deal?

  • Alese - 8
  • Cirkin - 9
  • Neil - 8.5
  • Rigg - 9.5
  • Jobe - 9
  • Clarke - 8.5

  • Mayenda - 8.5

This is pretty much spot on. Rigg motm, he was absolutely sensational. But Jobe wasn't far behind in my opinion. He played a little deeper than Rigg, but was highly effective in the middle. He looks more physical than last season and his vision to pick a forward pass is exceptional.

Cirkin and Alese both looking excellent as well, here's hoping we get full seasons out of them.

Bit of a random shout too, but I think Patto looked more comfortable with the ball at his feet than I've seen in the past.

Great for Mayenda to get a brace too, especially against a defender who is faster and stronger. Imagine what he'll be like when up against a cart horse of a defender.

that game was very much Southampton getting used to playing under Martin. They had a series of bad results.

this was all just tactical superiority by us. And bear in mind it’s WE who are getting used to a new style here

Don’t mention the lack of striker

‘worst in our history’ I heard.

He was brilliant mate forget the goals he was loving the scrap with their muckle CB. Growth from last week to this, crazy.

Shades of Maja and how he exploded.

That press is lovely to watch. Jobe was 10/10 he was given a role and nailed it. Rigg, Luke, Cirks all 9’s.
