There are plenty of Chelsea fans that say their uptick in form coincided with Chalobah being brought into their team last season. I would not be against him at all.

The side really needs a couple of good signings to freshen things up. They looked very poor Yesterday even before the red.

They really need some guile all over the park ..it's all huff and puff. The mobility of this side is almost none existent.
3 players away from having a good 11..bench is way off
This is actually very important. Teams tend to stagnate quite quickly when they're not constantly evolved/reinforced each season. It's probably partially the mental impact on existing players - perhaps it's a demotivating effect resulting from a perceived reduction in ambition.

Yeah they need to move on from this reliance on sub grade players. 3 years in, so I find it bewildering that they've still got certain players in the squad never mind the 11 week in week out for 90 minutes.

Before the red I was thinking we're in for a long season. We will see how things work out in the transfer window, but a cb isn't going to change the lack of mobility in midfield or improve the right hand side.... willock is required imo. He's the only mobile midfielder in the squad, so hope he's upto speed quickly.
They need some proper players and they'll just continue signing safe steady Eddie's.
