Yay. So we'll sign a 16 year old for the "future" and no striker. Go Sports Republic. What a bunch of lads, we're so lucky they're our owners <laugh>
It's a hard sell at the moment isn't it. Russ is doing his best bless him! We simply have to get people in though, and I just pray that the cycle of utter ****e transfers starts to become distant memory. I mean, can we possibly get worse? At least Ankerson has ****ed off.

Oh they'll break the cycle all right. We'll get **** all in and expected to be grateful!

I mean more the details of it to do with his heart - it’s pretty serious and I’m sure no one wants that in the public knowledge before more is known on it.
Has to be devastating for ABK, but he can hopefully take heart (excuse the poor choice of words) from how well Christian Eriksen has recovered and also Tom Lockyer, the Luton player whose heart stopped for 2 minutes, last December at Bournemouth.
He’s back training with the ball at his feet, and looking to return to the team if things progress as well as he hopes, although he accepts that it might not happen.

Reactions: Piri Weepu
Reading Newcastle boards it appears Fraser is willing to take a drop in wages to join us if Newcastle pay up the rest of his contract there. Given his age that makes sound financial sense. Suspect there is still a way to go in this saga...

That January window was a catastrophe:

Orsic £6m - Didn't play
Charlie £12m - Doesn't suit style
Bree 750k - Occasionally plays
Sulemana £22m - Doesn't suit style
Tall Paul £18.5m - Given no chance at all

Could it be any worse? And to top it off it is now the gift that keeps on giving because it is impacting our ability to spend.

Fully expect one or two duds in that price range but for the whole lot to have failed (bar Bree i suppose) is incredible

No wonder we are nervous about spending big fees

It's when you see it written down like this that you realise the fee means nothing. Everyone wants the big signings but for us lately they very rarely seem to work out. The best value for money there is without a doubt Bree. A solid dependable pro, nothing flash but does a job when required.

It doesn't help that these were all signed to help Jones out and then when Jones left, we have players by and larger twiddling their thumbs, kicking off, not being given any chances whatsoever. I like a good old free transfer, always have!
