Yeah, you don't believe in sides. "Run the risk of going to jail". Yet, I don't remember you appearing on here when climate protestors were being sentenced. Also, unless you think Os or yourself is promoting racial hatred and violence, I have seen no evidence you will go to jail. Are you promoting racial hatred?

You don't want to live in a country with services and pays for them through taxation? Move away. I haven't seen taxes go up.

And there is this negativity in everything some of you guys post, as if Labour, who have been in for 6 weeks, should have solved everything by now.

It is so boring to see it.

If you want to live in a nice place, you need to pay your taxes. Why should you have a free ride?

I don't have a free ride Archers. I pay my taxes. All of them.

Why do you feel I have a free ride - bit of a weird response.

I still don't believe it is right to tax children's education. If you do, fair enough :emoticon-0148-yes:

There is a free education for you in any of the state schools that this tax will help with! Jump on in!

Literally fella - wtf are you talking about.

I was talking tongue in cheek, if you can't spot humour, then fair enough. Most people know I have a dry, dark sense of humour. Nothing for you to get your panties in a twist over. I'm pretty sure you get my humour when talking about football though, strange you don't on this thread.

I haven't been on this site since November last year. I thought I'd pop over see how things are.

You are making assumptions as you think i'm a raving tory, which is funny that it winds you up!

I havent shared a view either way on sentencing for any type of protester, other than I believe freedom of speech is a fine line and is precious.

    As usual you are projecting.

This has been an extremely serious issue for ages now and neither party are doing anything about it.

Ok, but just so you know, those people being sentenced said they wanted immigrants to die burning in their sleep, "and if that makes me a racist, then I don't care anymore".

Let's just be clear that is what we are joking about.

Children should never be taxed to be educated. That is my view.

Loading - I am not a wealthy person btw. We worked multiple jobs and live in a humble home, with the intention of paying our mortgage off a couple of years ago. We did this with the sole purpose of sending the children to private school.

We have never been on a holiday abroad in the 16+ years me and my wife have been together. We have only ever had 1 week on the coast, every year, without fail.

That is why we can afford private education. There are many, many people I know at the school in a similar situation, some of which are now going back into the state system, naturally which is likely to increase class sizes.

It is easy to judge - which you and others do on here, with my children going private, without knowing facts.

Not that I need to explain anything to you, just thought i'd share personal experience that not everyone who send their kids there a multi millionairre with unlimited funds.

Bit of a ****y response you gave me. Well done to you <applause>

I didnt know that, as to be honest I knew the riots were going on, but at that time I have been genuinely trying to work out how we can pay the VAT on school fees. That was my priority.

And I also think you are generalising with this, i'd be amazed if everyone said that.

Private education is your choice. I choose not to subsidise it. There is plenty of state education available and private education is not a charity.

No, everyone said things along those lines though. You cannot get sent to prison without the incitement to violence aspect. Find me one person who didn't say we should burn down the hostels or attack immigrants who has been sent to jail. They don't exist - except probably in Os's twisted alternate reality.

High quality education is a public good in itself. Society benefits when intelligent kids get a better education. State education is all too often poor quality and if you want to get your kids into a good school you still have to pay, just in a different way - by buying a house in the catchment area of a highly-rated school. Research suggests those houses are likely to be quite a bit more expensive.

Coming from the guy that is happy to fund unlimited immigration but draws the line at educating children.

These right wing racist anti immigrant rioters plus those up for a ruck, a bit of burning and looting should be classified as terrorists and be sentenced as such.

I disagree. Burning and looting is rioting. It definitely isn't terrorism or a protest.

Now deliberately burning a mosque or a hotel filled with immigrants is a targeted attempt to make a section of society feel vulnerable. That definitely should be treated as terrorism as it is.

If you want private healthcare, you are asking for a service. You get taxed on it.
If you want to go on a flight, you get taxed on it.
If you want private education, you should get taxed on it.

Whilst not trying to inflame this, if you pay for your child to go private, you are already being taxed on the place they have given up in the state system?

Same with health care. Though that is a different thing entirely and I do have moral issues when I get things done through my employer funded private health care.
