Speaking of Twitter, I looked through it quite regularly when the riots first started, but the more time I spent on there, the worse I felt. Consuming such negative news on a regular basis makes you feel very anxious (shock).
By deliberately spending less time on there over the last week, that anxiety cloud eases. The algorithm is also powerful - interact with more posts about football and you see more posts about football, which is a good way of escaping the politics and negativity. You still obviously get negative football fans on there, but you get my point.
However, I still have a concern about the future of the UK, particularly when it comes to high immigration and illegal immigration. I think our multicultural society is a good thing, but at the same time I want our traditional British and Christian heritage to remain as the country's cultural foundations, and I worry that over time this could be eroded.
Is this a valid concern, or has it been exaggerated by people on social & traditional media who exploit it, often to promote division?
