Would still love to see an attacking Central midfielder who could get 10 goals a season even if we get these 2. We don't have enough players who get in the box when we do attack !
I agree entirely. One is a buy...and I am seeing 3 million euros mentioned. The other a loan. But still...exactly where we getting the money. Are we putting all our eggs in the " Eze will be sold" basket. I hope not
This time last year what we did do well was go about our business with little rumour of it beforehand. Not so this summer where a lot has been out in the media beforehand and that was possibly what alerted WBA to outbid us for the Italian LB who supposedly was on his way to us. He maybe be playing against us today.
I think that’s more to do with the failure to offload Paal. Too much risk to buy someone before space has been made.
Everyone saying we need to offload Paal as he is in the last year of his contract but doesn’t the same apply to Chair, or am I misinformed?
Yes maybe though we had already loaned Larkeshe to Dundee and with Fox injured I don't think we have any qualified cover for Paal today or until Fox is fit again.
Rak-Sakyi or whatever he’s called against Paal next week. Looking forward to the eight hour round trip for that.
Their wing backs will have a field day ffs, and after today's showing I bet Keifer Moore is lacking his lips at the aerial bombardment that our centre halves will face. Lanky tit could score a hatful
Cannon I am told is no longer available to us...due to the dispute over his "illegal" signing. So that option is also missing
Doesn't say he's not allowed to play for us Americans Abroad Major League Soccer MLS USMNT Top Stories Reggie Cannon to pay former club Boavista $1.4 million for early contract termination please log in to view this image August 9, 2024 by Larry Henry Jr Reggie Cannon’s early exit from Portuguese club Boavista have cost the American defender a hefty fine. Cannon is ordered to pay Boavista approximately $1.4 million for leaving the club unlawfully before the conclusion of his contract, FIFA announced Thursday, transcribed by O Jogo. The 26-year-old defender left the club in June 2023 due to reported unpaid wages, but a lengthy court case ruled in favor of Boavista. Cannon has 45 days to pay Boavista, which includes a 5% interest, but his current club QPR will reportedly complete the compensation payment of $71,000. As part of the ruling, Boavista will also have to pay Cannon $85,226 in unpaid wages, plus 5% interest. The former FC Dallas homegrown made 89 combined appearances for Boavista over three seasons, featuring mainly as a right back and centerback. Cannon proceeded to make 21 appearances for QPR last season, logging 1,437 minutes of playing time. Despite a few knocks along the way, Cannon remains a defensive option for Marti Cifuentes’ squad again in the EFL Championship. A U.S. men’s national team debutant in 2018, Cannon hasn’t featured for the USMNT since a 2-0 friendly loss to Japan in September 2022. QPR opens its league campaign on Saturday against West Bromwich Albion.
I know it doesn't...but the ruling is that he is technically a player Boavista have not fully released. So our registration is or was " fraudulent ". Until sorted out completely...it would be daft to play him...and risk another fine. ( we are already fined ?£60,000 for this)
It would be more QPR to have a points deduction for playing an ineligible player. How the respective FAs allowed this situation to occur is frankly beyond comprehension.
