And begging it for city. So they can buy their way to the top In other news Utd are doing well in the market Romano Reports that zubimendi is coning to Anfield too
Yeah... I am. They've broken the rules to get there, but now they are top dog. They're pissing money out of every orifice, and, now they are there up there, are negotiating the transfer market so much better than anyone else. 115 charges or not, that's not going to change for more than a moment in time, so you might as well get used to it. They are currently the best run club out there.
Doing what? Anyway... I think we've all been over this before, and almost everyone on here understands - you gotta have money and spend money to climb the ladder... All you big boys were able to do it without the shackles, way back when. Only seems fair we should be allowed a turn.
Looks like we have got Buonanotte on a season long loan from Brighton but, unfortunately, no option to buy ... 19 year old who already has 2 full caps for Argentina... quite happy with that ...
Best run club out there based on cooking the books for over a decade to a point where they allegedly bring in more revenue than man utd and real Madrid. You must be fick as **** or just on a wum
The only thing that narks me about City is the reinvention of history, now stated as fact. There's some outrage that United are looking at collaborators to help build a new stadium, to the tune of two billion. United have been, and will always remain, a literal tourist attraction that brings huge money to the city of Manchester for decades. City aren't, never will be either. Yet, City we given their stadium. It was for the commonwealth games. They were ****ed otherwise. Now, they built a nice little ground next door for the women to have a kick about in and you'd think they redeveloped the whole of North Manchester. Question; will West Ham eventually have history rewritten that they redeveloped the whole of East London because they happened to occupy an otherwise empty staduim? As for the rest of the City stuff, good luck (and ****) to them if they get away with it. They are what they are.
You just cannot look past "the last decade" / the 115 can you? It's not going to matter a jot to them. It'll be forgotten about, apart from in the minds of bitter, jealous fans. They'll take some punishment and then carry on being the best - commercially and likely on the pitch. Hell, I'd be annoyed too, if they were steamrollering our achievements and leaving us behind, but fortunately we've been ****e forever so have no real qualms here. Not even trying to WUM. It's just how it is.
This "domination" and massive club thing for you started somewhere... Don't underestimate what a generation of really smart people at the helm, and success on the pitch will do to your following on a national and global scale. 20 years after the PL, you were a totally different beast. Biggest around by miles. City are already ahead of the curve...
Why would i forget the last decade, the uefa case they lost for cooking the books Or the 115 charges? They are only where they are because they have cheated for over a decade. Ill remind anyone of that when they start taljing absolute **** about how well run a club city are. They are a well run mafia if anything. Football club, well clearly they cant run of of those properly or they would not have to cheat right? Lolz
We always were though. I'm not going to fully explain, just look it up. Busby Babes, Munich, etc. etc., we were already that global club. I'm genuinely surprised when people don't already know this. Regardless of what people think, we were not given a load of money by Sky and reinvented along with football itself. City never will be that.
The only bit I would take issue with is your last sentence - that's your opinion not fact - although you may indeed be proven right over time - however there is no substitue for continued success and the media coverage it brings for growing a fan base ... I've lived in Hertfordshire for over 25 years and when the kids were first in nursery, primarily school etc the footie shirts / colours in the playground, dress down etc. were pretty evenly split between Arsenal and Spurs ... wind forward and the Chelsea numbers have grown exponentially and are now on a par, if not in ascendancy... and that has happened during my time here and almost certainly down to the Abramovic tenure and legacy ...
Glamorous London club picks up supporters in north of London area? No real shock. Where are City getting their new fan base from? There aren't the numbers, and United aren't going anywhere. If we're talking China and such ****, genuinely I don't give a ****. That's just people on another continent latching onto something they watch on TV.
I don't need to look it up mate - I do know of and understand the pre PL history... however, the PL money changed the game and supercharged everything. You had the best commercial team, the best manager and team on the pitch. City now have that - regardless of how they got it - and they're unlikely to disappear from the top, whatever happens with those charges - that's all I'm saying. On the original point - the way the club is run - and I know @Sucky loves this - is on a different scale to everyone else right now. Disregarding how they got there, and you have to, as the world will forget it before long and any sanctions they're hit with won't screw them long term - they're currently the best run club in the land. Commercially, on the pitch and in the transfer market.
You're missing the point tho' ... Chelsea have always been there ... just no reason to support them in Hertfordshire ... not until they became the most successful club from London... and that only happened in the last 25 years ... if you think Citeh's (worldwide) popularity will stay static if the next ten year trophy haul matches the last ... then you are decidedly in wishful thinking rather than cold reality mode ...
they are it seems, working within the rules until the 115 charges are fully looked into. United just seemed to have had the rules bent to ensure they were not charged, Liverpool paid a small spying fine or something and Leicester and going to get a point deduction based on winning their sole league title.
