Thanks guys. Well for starters I think these new owners are average. Done good stuff behind the scenes by the looks of it but this transfer window has not overly impressed. I like the look of the defensive signings but am really struggling to see anything in Berry and Godden. Not sure as yet re Ahadme but he’ll do well to match May.
So much for sorting the squad by end of July.

I also find the reach out to Wrexham boy as incredibly amateurish and am bemused that the latter now sees Charlie as a “friend” as opposed to him using Wrexham boy as a “tool”

The squirrel and Richard are his friends as well.

May doesn’t get his info from Methven. I know exactly where he gets the information from, but I will not post it on here.

Can't disagree with any of this. Campbell deserves to start ahead of Godden.

Methven for all of his faults is a savvy political operator.

Many Sunderland fans on Twitter warned us that one of his tactics up there was to hand pick a couple of compliant or try hard fans, and feed them selective info.

Also not 100% sold on Jones yet. Jury is still out there for me

Jones has talked the talk, and now he’s going to have to walk the walk.

It’s his own wotsits on the line here as well - after high profile failures at Stoke City & Southampton, he badly needs his time with us to be successful.

I still think he’s going to be good news, although he made a big mistake allowing Alfie May to leave.

I think the smt have been hit and miss but I’m still curious about the owners. Have they ever issued a statement or a sentence independently of the smt? I’d like to read it if l missed it.
Jury is out on NJ with me as well as we weren’t exactly pulling up trees after his arrival last season however he did stop the rotten apple plummet to the 4th division.
Anyway not long before we find out what the new look squad looks like.

It will be interesting to see for how long they are willing to fund massive losses in L1.

Last season a 16th placed finish saw two manages take the can - Holden & Appleton. A repeat this season and you’d imagine 2-3 of the SMT will go, and rightly so.

I must admit, I thought they’d have a bit more of a go this summer, particularly when you look at the consequences of not going up.

We have moved big earners like Thomas, Hector, Dobson, McGrandles & Isted off the wage bill as well.

Essentially, all that has been done is offload May to finance the 'rebuild'.
The sole outlay has been bringing in Jones, which I imagine was not cheap tbf.
