Hemir, Matete, Bennette, Pembele, Rusyn, Anderson, Triantis could all feasibly leave on loan or permanently. A few u21s deserve loans as well. Then I still want us to sell someone for a decent fee. Plenty work to be done.
I think we’ll see loads go out on deadline day, hope our incoming’s are mostly done by then but there is nothing more exciting than deadline day incomings!
Agreed. Last 2 weeks of the window will be very busy for us, I reckon. Expect Clarke to be away after a flying start to the season…
once premier league clubs decide on squads that will free up some loan moves into the championship which in turn filters down through the leagues. wouldn’t surprise me if a few of our fringe players have deals agreed in principle but we won’t release them until we get players in
First time I've heard you mention it! There's a danger though, that selling someone for a big fee in the last week of the window doesn't allow us to get our deals over the line.
Sad to see Embo going, think he could have done a job but good luck to him and hope he goes on to have a great career
Be loads going out on loan won't be surprised if we bring in 1 or 2 on loan from Prem Sell Embo Anderson Matete loan Bennette Pembele Triantis Hemir Watson
I think Calum Chambers is a cracking signing for this level but it’s keeping him fit that’ll be the issue. Laughing if he can play 30+ league games.
You'd hope that we have targets lined up for whatever budget we had at a given time within the window, as @Southern A said before. It's a risk I agree, but I personally think it's a bigger risk trying to upgrade the squad with what appears to be a small budget (which is how it should be before we sell).
I wish Embleton well - I’ll never ever forget the look on my young son’s face at Wembley when he scored against Wycombe. Special.
Kanga looks good but their squad looks so reliant on not picking up injuries. If they can get 35+ games out of Ramsey, Willock, El Ghazi and Chambers then I think they'll be good. If not, I can see them in trouble. So good at set pieces, concerned about that on Saturday.
I don't understand their signings at all. Willock is fine, but 4 goals and 4 assists over a full season for QPR is nothing special. For comparison, he made 1 more goal contribution than Ba did for us, but played 400 more minutes. If you look past the clubs Chambers has been at, he's averaged 15 games a season over his career. He's played 30 league games once and it was 6 years ago. He's never played 35. El Ghazi had talent, but hasn't played for a year and despite being free, he's had to drop a level to get interest. They're one of the clubs in relegation trouble for me.
Made the statement when he took over which was end of 20/early 21 iirc. So the 5 years will be up at the end of this year, a few months into next season.
