Not having a dig as such, but there's 1 or 2 players every year who look good against us and our fans get a sort of fixation that they can't get past.
I’m as guilty as anyone for that haha, mikkel forsell (butchered his name) was one when I was younger I was desperate for us to get for that exact reason

I'll have done it myself too, but our fans feel a bit odd for it in my opinion. Thousands of footballers around the world, but a portion of Sunderland fans all wanted Sinclair Armstrong based on a cameo against us. I feel like Cole Stockton was similar a few years back.

Sofatester first said the club moved on from Mendy at the end of July. He also said Bardelli would be signed last week.
