Wow ! Hung drawn and quartered in two days , only in the dock before .well if he’s wavering before he’ll eff off now .
We go back to hoping for a genuine owner with what to offer compared to other sizeable clubs or cities.
I really hope you are wrong but keep piling in , like I said I try to look for positives in people must be an age thing .

Very true. Let’s hope he’s a Harry Wilson more than a Josh Bowler

I know people think my hatred of loans is irrational (everyone's allowed to have their own opinion). But here's the list of loanees who had their first proper experience of first team football with us, I've gone back till just after the Harry Wilson year (about 6 years) as he was the last successful one. I've popped the minutes they played for us in brackets too.

Ebiowei (519)
Vale (76)
Simons (428)
Salah (0)
Bowler (1042)

To me, it's a clear indication that it's a completely pointless strategy as it doesn't work. Thankfully, it's not one we do very often and when we do it feels like desperation. It's why I'm so pessimistic about the young loan pool this year as it's largely players who have never experienced senior football. I'm not saying the above players are bad players either, they really aren't but the Championship is such a tough level to come straight into and do well.

Just so I'm clear, you think harry Wilson was the last successful loan?

Less than one week to kick off. On the pessimistic side its likely to be another week when City see their 'transfer targets' going to other clubs...I'm struggling to see much on positive side, other than a bit of no one will fancy us to get much and we go with what we've got.

That just shows to me we’ve played the loan market poorly

Last season proved there’s some excellent possibilities out there

Yes i did, first proper senior football isn't the only loan players people get, we've had plenty of loans that have had a positive impact and whilst FFP is the way it is, Loans are a fantastic way to improve the squad and clubs like us should and always will make use of it

But that's the market that is likely this summer as the attainable targets at the big clubs are very young. The likes of Costa & McConnell have no proper senior experience.

This year the loan market just looks tricky and it feels like there's more competition with less money being spent. The remaining options just look very young and raw.

So, when was the last time media savvy, footballing enthusiast and football club owner, Acun Ilicali spoken about Hull City?

To be fair - he’s speaking as much as I want him to at this stage.

A few months ago I wanted him to be quieter. I’m happier he is.

Being honest, I don’t really know what people want to hear? We’re trying to bring people in? Of course we are - Walter is saying that. If he mentions names and they don’t come - he’ll be criticised again.

The time for talking is after the window closes.

Remaining options.... Come on, who are they? How do you know who will or won't become available as other dominos fall, when squads get finalised, players who don't get permanent transfers look at other options. Nobody knows.... So to say all the remaining options look very young and raw is just daft!

We can’t afford to fill the squad with only permanent signings.

The loan market isn’t optional.

Last season we lost our first game, away at Norwich. Our squad that day was crap because half of our transfer business hadn't been done yet. Harry Vaughan was the best winger at the club, and both Vinagre and Connolly had to feature whilst totally short of fitness because there was no one else. Winning that one game instead of losing it would've put us in the playoffs.

I'm amazed anyone is OK with writing off the first four games this time.

We woz robbed.
