Definitely see a disproportionate number of Sunderland tops on holiday and any adult wearing a replica top at a match needs their laptop checking. Twice if they get a player’s name on the back.

People have been wearing their team's colours at football matches for over a century, it's pretty harmless tbh ...

... there's always loads at QPR, like 'Grandad'.

Yeah and it’s weird.

You drew 2-2 at Marseille by the way.

We didn't, you're both wrong but that's an easy mistake to make if you're not a Sunderland supporter ...

... I'd have probably thought the same if it was QPR, it was only a friendly.

TBH I don't understand why people, wearing their team's colours, is weird.

It's just harmless fun imo.

Marseille fans will have been at home there.

I lived in the south of France, for fifteen years, and regularly went to Marseille, Nice and Cannes games.

There were very few Asians but, particularly in Marseille, lots of North Africans.

By coincidence I was in Marseille for the England v Tunisia game, in the World Cup ...

... had a great time, on the night of the match, with a bunch of QPR 1882 lads.

That's what happens when you go to the NE for QPR matches ...

... people tend to wear their football colours <laugh>

Seriously, the way Newcastle fans always wear their colours is a standing joke for Sunderland, we rarely do it on non-match days.

This was today, at the Sunderland game in Bradford, and there were others ...

**** off you mackem **** <cheers>

Just seen a clip of a copper being knocked off his bike and then attacked by a couple of people.

Scum of the highest order. Violent disorder and assault on a police officer will surely bring a hefty person term.

Though thinking about it our lack of prison space may present a real problem in the coming weeks and months. Makes me wonder if that fact is emboldening these ****s.

Should add there was a lad trying to protect the copper too in interests of fairness. Fair play.

I don't think so tbh, people as thick as these couldn't work out anything that complicated imo.

They're just sad people, with no decent expectations, who've been waiting for an excuse to go wild.

Anyone assaulting a police officer will go to prison, even if they have to release a few TV licence dodgers to make room.

I meant in general rather than specifically assaulting the old bill but yeah you're probably right that there's not been that much thought into it.

It does present an issue potentially though given the court backlogs, the fact we're already having to release offenders early, and that there could be hundreds of cases arise from this.

Word on the street is that people now have a good 6-12 months to print money by growing weed. You barely go to prison for it these days but when the prisons are full they ain’t going to make room for a weed grower.

You raise a good point there tbh.

People have become used to behaving as they choose without any consequences ...

... they know their 'rights' but not always their responsibilities.

Apparently locals are now smashing up the rest of the Sunderland city centre <doh>

Let alll the weed growers out to bang this lot up.

Funnily one of my pet hates is open cans of beer on the street, and most of these mobs seem to have open cans. It's that image it presents of the English, and I'm English (British) so I can fooking say it.

If you want to protest do it peacefully, because now nobody cares and you destroy any argument you had.

It really isn't a cool look attacking coppers, it's easy to square up to some young kid in a uniform. Grow up ffs...

Where's Matth when we need him lol.

Seen reports it’s all kicking off again in Sunderland.

What’s the bets go fund me come looking for the £3.50 change they gave me from my £5 donation earlier this morning?

It's kicking off everywhere mate, got quite bad looking at some of the stuff, that's why I've quietened down, don't want to be seen promoting it. Bristol protests were squaring up to one another when I last looked, so they had to send the horses in and bring the batons out,
