Monaco are now chasing Camara After the €14m offer from Saints and €16m offer from Saudi were turned down according to L'Equipe.
Would leave us without a backup RB unless KWP stays. But I'm still thinking that is pretty unlikely given his lack of involvement in pre-season so far (and the fact that we signed Sugawara in the first place). I could see Bree being keen for it though if he wants first team football again.
Yeah I could see Bree wanting it. He was signed 18 months ago and probably knew he was largely going to be a backup to KWP. Now it looks like KWP is off and we have signed another right back before he has even left so Bree might be a bit annoyed at not being given a chance, he may also know more about KWP future (like the West Ham deal is definitely off/on, KWP plans to stay for his last year making Bree third choice etc) We aren’t going to get much for Bree but he hasn’t exactly impressed me when he has played against any decent opposition (seem to remember him being particularly bad against Ipswich where ultimately he got sent off). We would have to replace him if he does go and that’s just an extra player we need to find and sign, for probably more money than we get for Bree. So for me it depends on budget and who we think is realistic to come in when we have just signed a right back
Whilst I agree with this it’s just another squad space we need to fill. If we are looking at off loading anyone who isn’t PL level we are going to lose about 80% of our squad
I just don’t buy that we are interested in Ramsdale at all. It’s all just come from him being at the playoff final, which we know was to support Brooks. Literally nobody close to the club have made any comments about being interested in a keeper full stop let alone as high profile one as Ramsdale
Sounds like Emerson Royal is off to AC Milan which opens up a spot for KWP at Spurs. He’d be back up to Porro so whether he’d want that or not remains to be seen
Rumours earlier in the window that he wanted to go back to Spurs so wouldn't surprise me if that happens.
