Some decisions need to be made sharpish mind. Some strange skulduggery going on with inviting players over and and not closing deals ..
Not sure why it is proving so difficult to get a decent addition in the striker position over the line. This lot have done an awful lot right, have also got some things wrong (and boy when they’ve got it wrong they have got it wrong) but this long without a competent striker is simply inviting pressure and criticism. yes I know there is still time till the season starts and yes I know the window hasn’t shut yet but their track record in getting a competent striker can hardly fill people with confidence. I hope they get it right as I like a lot of what they are doing but this is verging on the ridiculous now
This is another reason why we should go get two strikers. To prove we can. When you take so long to acquire players, they need to be worth the wait.
Playing some silly games. But with number 9's it's not the first, or will be the last time. It's a bloody strange thing.
Read his announcement statement 20 times to make sure there was no hints to him being a makeshift striker
I say this because I am getting worried about the skulduggery around closing striker deals. Needs to get sorted.
Someone down the line is leaking premature info, no coincidence that the lad on RTG (who has got plenty right ) and RR have had the same info.
Leo Hjelde (Previously played with Poveda at Leeds United) “He is a very exciting player. He is very good with the ball and loves to take people on. He is good in small spaces and tight areas and his work ethic is unbelievable. I first met him when he got injured when he was at Blackpool - and the work this guy puts in is second to none. He is always pushing himself and demanding more. He is a very hard-working player but he also has the technical ability to be a beautiful South American player so it is a really exciting addition to the group.”
Makes zero sense. Strikers no more important than any other position. Chill man, we arent deliberately making signing a striker hard.
