I worked in Liverpool as a solicitor in Bootle at the time following and it was pretty much accepted fact amongst the people there - who kind of knew everyone and especially many of the "gangsters" - that it was a guy called Pancake who had made the threats but was also hitting up Alex Curran (Gerrards wife but gf at the time) with drugs and possibly more.

Obviously all just unsubstantiated rumors but there were certainly a lot of people in the city who would tell you with absolute certainty that he had his bags packed and was ready to go to Chelsea before the threats spooked him.

Who knows really. Fact is he stayed and never came across as begrudging it tbh.

Heard Gerrard creped himself when Pancake threatened to batter him.

Pancake was involved with Alex, there's little doubt about that. Also Gerrards dad hired John Kinsella, an underworld enforcer to stop another gangster, George Bromley jnr who threatened to blow his legs off if he didn't pay him protection money, Kinsella then made sure Gerrard was well looked after

The neighbours eldest son has just moved away after signing for Liverpool as an apprentice. They are telling family and friends he is in prison for shagging dogs.

I have a lot of Bengali friends, and when I was kid, I would call them Paki and they would call me Honky.
As a cool story bro moment....
I was only allowed round my friend Allaudin's house when his dad wasnt there for some reason. His mum was okay with me but his dad had issues with an English kid coming round.
I remember sitting round his house and his brother Oachidur put on a movie called Aakhree Raasta.
I still remember the lyrics to this day, Gori Ka Sajan, Sajan Ki Gori....
