    1. alan shearer.
    2. colour clash with germany. either england lost the toss or germany didn't bring a change of kit. incidentally, man utd played in all blue when they won the european cup in 1968. clear hints in both cases to rethink their kits, expecially england's boring one.
    3.
    4. 33.
    5. bashful. sw took his hat off and kissed his head.
    6. cantonese.
    7.
    8. messi.
    9. van gogh.
    10. george lucas.
    11. heights. acropolis, acrobat. any more acro words, ignoring across?
    12. harp.
    13. eight.
    14. tongue.
    15. the one with louiville (sp) in it. in the south somewhere. got two in mind. louiville sounds french, so i'll go for mississippi.
    16. tiger.
    17. parchment.
    18.
    19. humming birds.
    20. she don't lie, she don't lie, she don't lie. cocaine.

some guesses, of course, and i accidentally saw someone else's answer to 18, and can't think of a reasonable alternative.
