Not seen anything of this prior to this post, just had a bit of a read. Sounds like he was a reckless young lad like a lot of us were to varying degrees. I feel sick when I think back to being that age and the near misses I didn't even realise I was scraping through. Sad story.
Must be a horrible feeling losing your son, losing a parent is bad enough, but the mental torture of your child dying must be horrendous.
It has to be the worst thing in the world. I don't know how people come back from it. My cousin passed away when she was 21 and it changed the entire family, but my Aunt & Uncle especially were never the same.
Yep. Happened to friends of ours last year. Their daughter went for a hike with her boyfriend. Went down with heat exhaustion. The mum especially hasn’t got over it. I know if it happened to Mrs K and me I don’t think I ever would.
He was internet rumored to be a drug mule. The fact he left his mates, jumped into a car and was driven miles into the countryside with 2 strangers, I was expecting him to have been swiftly dealt with and dumped in the sea. Totally shocked that it would seem that he did in fact have a fall on his way back.
He was also internet rumoured to be persuaded to go over there as part of a trap, he was collected, driven out into the mountains, told to phone a friend then thrown off a cliff. Again, rumours about him owing a lot of money to drug dealers was fueled by the news his mother got a message saying he owed money, £30,000 and she wouldn't be seeing him again. I don't suppose we'll ever find out the whole truth, but the internet Sherlock Holmes squad doesn't help either.
All very sad whatever's happened. I do regular 10 mile-ish walks and, even in Scotland, wouldn't set off without water. There's obviously something strange about anyone 'deciding' to walk 40 kms in that heat.
He’s a young lad who thinks he’s invincible. We all did at that age. It’s certainly not looking good though is it?
Yes it is (although he was part of a group, not an individual attack), but even the bloke who was attacked came out and said to concentrate on the fact tat there's a young lad missing, whatever he's done in the past. There's also some chatter about a stolen Rolex watch though. Who knows what to believe?
So pleased I grew up in a time when the neighbourhood kept you in check, you didn't have serious and freely available drugs and not everyone on your street thought they were gangsters. It must be hard for teenagers now, everything is so confusing at a time when they're vulnerable, easily influenced and still trying to work out who they are. I'd be totally out of control ... ... I was then but the consequences were nothing too serious.
No-one does marra.....especially if it's been done to one of our own. You're a family man......I don't know you at all,but it's obvious from your messages on here. We're all the same,us lads from the North....anyone who attacks our family,no sympathy.
