Thing is - you could have at least explained why you don’t believe it / think it is propaganda. You’ve basically just stated it is propaganda because it doesn’t match your world view. “I don’t like it so it must be false”. That is patently absurd. Like full on crazy pills. Not that I should help you out here but, how about this - you have to register for a party in the US at some point I assume. We don’t do that here. Perhaps raise a question about when you do that and how often you have to and whether you actively have to change it? Or what the reasons might be that someone might register for the opposite. That would be a starting point if you really wanted to dismiss the idea that he was a registered Republican as propaganda. I don’t understand that registration system myself. It’s got something to do with primaries. But I don’t know if there is a way of preventing people registering for the “other side”. What consequences there are etc

Oh I agree, the phrase that when the US sneezes, the UK catches a cold is very relevant, and far worse now with the advent of social media. It does seem to be a more advanced case in the States right now though. We just need to hope it’s not terminal.
