I posted this because as soon as I heard Trump had been shot , I said to Mrs J that “ I bet whoever pulled the trigger isn’t a Democrat “

No doubt it will get him another term in office .

Even if it turns out he’s a Republican who’s gone mad , the powers that be will twist it be be the Democrats fault

 

No. It's not faked. The camera angle is totally different to that in the main video. And an almost identical picture (probably taken by the same photographer moments later/earlier) has been published on the BBC website with an Associated Press credit.

It’s interesting how people will see what they want to see from that picture. Os sees someone who is apparently prepared to die for his country - when that is absolutely not what it shows.

(Also there is confirmed evidence that Trump does not want to die for his country - “bone spurs” and the Vietnam War)

What it does show is this apparent strong man who is apparently happy to die for his country being pretty much completely shielded - by a a woman.

All the picture shows is a man subject to a horrific assassination attempt manage to compose himself quickly (after the threat was neutralised and whilst surrounded by protection) and seize and opportunity to show defiance / seize a PR opportunity (what ever your preference)

I’m not going to dismiss that as nothing. Shows quick thinking at the very least and potentially above average bravery (depending on how obvious it was from the radios or the secret service speaking to him that the threat was believed neutralised).

But as posted above - our current King acted in a calm and unruffled manner to an incident (albeit not being grazed). No one is really suggesting he be given more actual power and authority as a result of this
