Think a few nutters clung on preferring to be in charge of something irrelevant than be a small part of something bigger. Same as the ‘Rejoin EU’ party who got about 8 votes. Some great names if you scroll down the list. Communists ran in 14 seats. The Christian Alliance.
Indeed, I thought all the UKIP voters would have reverted back to their previous, Pre-UKIP party, or Reform. We are out of the EU, so as the UK independence Party, what do they want us to be independent from like?
I'm not reading too much into that gaff tbph. He knew who he was introducing, he even said Ukraine beforehand, it's because his thought process is fixed on beating Putin. This constant media witch hunt is not helping. I think Biden should put his feet up, but not necessarily because of a mistake like that.
I agree, Trump makes as many “guffs” as Biden but it suits the mainly right wing press in the US to help Trump. If it comes to policy Trump is screwed where this now allows him to personally attack Biden, which is pretty much all Trump has. It could come down to whether Americans prefer an old fella prone to the effects of old age or a convicted felon, who doesn’t care for anyone other than himself. I know which one I would prefer!
I agree. I was thinking yesterday, before the Putin gaff, leave the guy alone. It feels like people trying to make political gain out of an old weak man, and I don't like that, regardless of whether I think he should be standing or not. Maybe a bit more understanding from those jumping on the bandwagon re cognitive behaviours and how the mind works, especially in his senior years.
He's the "presumptive nominee" but it's American Political etiquette to not run against the running President. Only the fringe politicians, their version of backbenchers, tend to run against the incumbent which is why they're urging him to stand down.
It's not a huge deal in itself as it's the sort of thing many people do time to time but in the context of the last couple of weeks it's a terrible mistake to make tbh.
And to then double up doing the same thing again, that's what's worrying. The Harris being called Vice President Trump is the weirdest of the 2 imo he didn't even correct himself.
Yeah but he knows he's got the media banging on about it constantly, so it just adds more pressure to his mind. I was listening to SKY News correspondents out in Washington yesterday, before the Putin gaff, and they just didn't stop going on about it - they were actually lining themselves up for his next one, which he went and duly obliged. Everyone will be old one day, seriously it's not a big issue, yeah maybe question if he should be president, but then should Trump be either, ones got a poor memory the other one is an absolute raving lunatic and convicted criminal. All everyone is doing is dancing to the medias tune as usual, I'm surprised you guys can't look beyond that. He's only a puppet anyway, would have thought that obvious.
I think most (I certainly do) want Biden to step aside so that someone can come in and beat the raving lunatic, so it's not really about Biden being old it's that he's giving Trump an open goal.
