All this will do is make the nutters vote for him even more. And you can see Trumps future speeches already wrote with this.

I wouldn't be surprised if it were staged... And if he wins election he uses it to put a few rivals behind bars

I don't know shhite about guns, but seemed more like pellets to me - especially with crowds of people around, got to be pretty dumb to use live ammo otherwise.

Yeah... Has to be... Think it would be impossible to get a real gun into a rally.

Per one news report:
Trump was speaking when he reached for the side of his face as popping sounds rang out over the rally

I've heard enough guns fired (people hunting in woods around me, and one idiot has a shooting range in his back garden)... I've never heard a gun sound like "a popping sound".

Not a real gun and he was never in real danger. Biggest danger was probably losing an eye.

The other possibility is some sort of 3d printed gun with minimal metal parts and probably designed to look like something else.

Would explain why some people saw smoke, why there was blood in the stands where the shots were fired (3d printed guns have a habit of exploding in people's hands)... Are typically lower power (hence the sound)

Only problem with that theory is how could you possibly be so accurate with a 3d printed gun from distance.

Whoever it was, were a losey shot.

I just know the gun toting rednecks that support Trump will now be itching to get a shot at Biden.

Apparently people saying definitely saw a rifle.

Secret Service definitely ****ed up if they let a presidential candidate's campaign rally to be held where someone could get a rifle in.

Just read on BBC that the shooter was on a roof not in the rally.

Read earlier that he had been shot but can't find mention of that now.

Dunno what the **** Milk is talking about as I've seen tons of war footage and on camera, bullets consistently sound like popping sounds.

The shooter was 200ft away, he wasn't in the crowd. He was on a roof.

Two members of the audience are in critical condition, it weren't pellets.

In real life, gunshots are loud... Even a mile away they sound loud (at least in the country, perhaps if lots of tall buildings around sound wouldn't travel quite that far so loudly). Certainly from 200' I would expect more.than a popping sound.

. Always found those TV movies where people are shooting in one part of a hotel or office building and people in another part don't hear the gunshots until they burst in a room to be a little ridiculous.

If the gunman was only 200ft away and it was live in person (not muffled by camera equipment)I would expect people to hear more than just a popping sound.

Obviously now that we know people were killed and injured we know it wasn't just pellets, at the time above was written that hadn't been reported. Nor had it been reported that people had seen a rifle. But based on early reports of "popping sounds" (by people who probably weren't there themselves so didn't hear it other than over recording) it didn't sound like a gun.

Trump at a rally, shots fired, all hell let loose.

IMO it’s been coming and Trump himself is a large part of the problem. He spends most of his time “poking the bear” so shouldn’t be surprised when one goes on the attack.
American politics has become toxic, and not helped by a very right wing judicial system and media, since Trump announced his first presidential run.

In a classic case of nominative determination, the shooters surname is "Crooks"

I see all the right wing nut jobs are using this for political gain and Trumps dipstick son, Eric, has even posted a picture of him when he raised his hand defiantly, claiming that this is what the US needs, a fighter for president <doh>
In contrast the Democrats have all come out and denounced the violence.
