Agree - don't give it to anyone next year, let's see who steps up and earns the right to wear it, and not over 3 or 4 games but over a whole season. I certaintly wouldn't give it to Ranger. Prospect tho he undoubtedley is, if/when he does start performing to his full potential and on a regular basis, it won't take much to turn his head:
