Can't say I know a lot about Browne but going off what I've read here I'm very happy.
Norwood worried me. Less concerned by Browne. Sounds like a bit of a general in midfield which should help.

This is a great bit of business. He is a quality player, who has vast experience at this level and is a leader too, so maybe the future captain?

Gets around the pitch, leads by example, gets stuck in, arrives in the box late and has a finish on him, 300+ games at Championship level, player of the year last season as captain at a team who finished 6 places above us. His work rate will allow the likes of Neil and Rigg space to flourish.
He's in my mind the archetypical Sunderland player. A bit of a throwback. Our fans are going to love him.
Hes got a bit of everything, covers so much ground, breaks up play, chips in with goals, is a leader, kniws the league inside n out, good in possession and will leave everything out on the pitch
Consistently been a top 10 championship cm for the last 5 yrs imo

Its the most sure I've been on a signing since we signed Ballard. I was buzzing when ballard signed as was always a huge fan, im the exact same for this lad

I seem him as a championship version of Connor Gallagher. Similar traits and style.
Hard to map him to a single player. Close to Cattermole but a little less "Cattermole" if that makes sense. As prehab says above, Connor Gallagher is a similar type. I'd say a less talented version of Jordan Henderson at Liverpool as well.
He's the type that will just be in the right place at the right time, and will work hard to constantly be in that right place.
I have no clue who Connor Gallagher is, just an old bugger who follows the lads, thats me not Connor

Okay well I guess the other thing I'd say is that its what he offers OFF the ball that makes him the great signing I think he is, as much as what he offers on it. We'll be less easy to play through with him in the middle.
Next level signing, experienced and brings goals from centre midfield, this lad will be a cracking signing.
KLD is really going for it this summer, put 2 good central strikers in our team and we will have a cracking spine, we already have the best fullbacks and wingers in the championship. I am really enjoying this summer and cant wait for the season to start.
