You choose your leaders and place your trust
As their lies wash you down and their promises rust
You'll see kidney machines replaced by rockets and guns
And the public wants what the public gets
But I don't get what this society wants

No attempt at ethical or social seduction can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred for the Tory party. So as far as I am concerned they are lower than vermin.

Everytime I happen to watch PMQ's the line 'Braying sheep on my TV screen...' runs through my head.

It'll be Labour, but will there really be much change?

Corbyn or Boris last time - I didn't vote and the choice this time is pretty uninspiring too.

Perfectly acceptable as long as you’re prepared to never complain about any decisions the Govt take…

“The major problem—one of the major problems, for there are several—one of the many major problems with governing people is that of whom you get to do it; or rather of who manages to get people to let them do it to them.
To summarize: it is a well-known fact that those people who must want to rule people are, ipso facto, those least suited to do it.
To summarize the summary: anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job.”

No matter who you vote for the government always gets in...

I will be voting and made up my mind a long time ago, but I don't expect them to get many seats...A bit like having a flutter on City to win the league, I guess.

Or conversely, if you DO vote, you accept responsibility for all the cock ups done in your name. :emoticon-0105-wink:

I can't believe anyone still thinks the colour of a rosette changes much. It's just different middle managers in the same company.

If you doubt that, look at that doddering old fart supposedly running America. <laugh>

I think the best quote I have read on the election was someone stating, replacing Sunak with Starmer is as good as replacing Southgate with Taylor... none having a clue...

I've been reading manifestos, speaking to candidates, using a lot of common sense, and I've tried to apply some sanity to my decision process..

I've been looking for a party that has my best interests at heart,a party who will improve my living standards and those around me,a party who'll sort this bursting at the seams cess-pit of a Country out,a party who'll dish out a fair and just pension to people who haven't sat on their backsides most of their working lives but have worked their nuts off for 50+ years...

I'm still ****ing looking and God willing I'll have found one by 2029(when the next fiasco takes place)..
