Unbelievably it's that time of the year again.

Preseason starts next Monday the 1st July.

A lot of kids inbound of course for that day but none the less

Announced preseason games

27th July Real betis. Pittsburgh
31st July Arsenal. Philadelphia
3rd August. Man utd. South Caroline
11th august. Seville. Anfield

Probably some more to be had as well but no word of a preseason camp out in wherever Jurgen fancied so let's see if we use our home facilities or what.

Massive ticket prices.

We make more off that one game than uefa do off the cl final.

It's absolutely astounding what thr yanks get away with charging.

Yeah... Closest a Liverpool game has been to me in 30 years in the States. Couldn't go was cost prohibitive. Insane price for a glorified friendly.

Would have cost me over $1000 to take my three kids (and I couldn't go and not take them). Rather than be a bastard and go without them I just didn't buy tickets.

Prices were over double what they've been in the past when went watched the games in Charlotte.

Those would be the cheap seats too?

200 dollars?

I think there are tickets for 1000s

The reality is you.are not going to see very many players due to the internationals so there's no way you can possibly justify paying it to see maybe one or two players.

Yes cheapest seats were over $200 and that is before taxes, fees and random Ticketmaster charges that make no sense. So, yes four tickets would have been over $1000 for cheapest option available. I don't know exactly what it would have come out to because I didn't put it in my cart to find out what taxes, fees, and random Ticketmaster charges would be.

I think if you're part of USC you could get tickets cheaper... My middle child is probably attending University there year after next, so might have been able to get cheaper tickets if this event happened two years later.

According to this is anfield

Squad for preseason training day 1:

Mohamed Salah,
Wataru Endo,
Curtis Jones,
Harvey Elliott,
Caoimhin Kelleher,
Jarell Quansah,
Conor Bradley,
Kostas Tsimikas,
Bobby Clark
Fabio Carvalho
Ben Doak,
Nat Phillips,
Rhys Williams,
Jayden Danns,
Lewis Koumas,
Kaide Gordon,
Stefan Bajcetic,
Tyler Morton,
James McConnell,
Sepp van den Berg.

Slot needs to move on some of this lot ASAP but it's not awful with

Diaz
Alisson
Nunez
Macallister

In south america

And

Trent
Gomez
Konate
Gravenberch

are having a paid holiday Without any work to do.

While

Robertson
Szoboszlai

will be back real soon

Finally

Vvd
Jota
Gakpo

May be a while yet but I don't particularly expect it to be too much longer tbh.

Salah to win the lactate test obviously with tsmikas voted most likely to barf.

The younger players are now back for theirn3rd day and seniors arrive Friday.

No training camp has been announced outside of the US junker which doesn't lend itself to training.

It will be interesting to see what effect not being in a hotel for weeks.

I'm not sure you can do 3 sessions in a day without sleep naps and I have to wonder about getting to really know players.

It'll be fine.

It'll be interesting to see.

I assume the "best" players won't be available until after the USA trip anyway so this training camp will be fringe players, players from **** countries and youths.

The players we need to be running for 90 mins at high intensity only really get together in August probably the first and second weeks.

Salah will be there day 1.
Bradley is there
Quansah is there
Robertson will be there in 2 weeks
Szoboszlai will be there in 2 weeks

After that it really is down to "subs"

Jones
Elliott
Etc

Alisson
Trent
Vvd
Konate
Macallister
New 6
Diaz
Nunez
Gakpo
Jota

Will probably not even see a USA tour.

It will be interesting to see what this new performance coach brings to the table as fitness is key in the prem.

The only good thing is, every big club has the same crazy pre-season that we do these days. We can't blame a crappy preseason schedule on doing badly.
That said- I'm not setting hopes too high for next season anyway to balance my expectations.

We only get a short period of team-all-together, so does everyone else... hopefully we make it count. Slot has had plenty of time to think of plans "in-theory" so should have a headstart in planning when they hit the ground together.

I'm just interested to see how this new performance coach deals with the demands of the prem.

Our lads imo got stale over the past 2 or 3 seasons. I really don't think we had the same go for 90mins.

The new bloke might get the level but he might not so it'll be interesting to see what kind of sessions are planned at home.

We usually had Jurgen summer bbq camp even if just kids but this year we will have a few players who are first teamers who need work.

Argentina vs. Ecuador – Friday, July 5
Venezuela vs. Canada – Saturday, July 6,
Colombia vs. Panama – Saturday, July 6
Uruguay vs. Brazil – July 7.

We can therefore expect macca and Diaz to be in semi finals and then a pointless 3rd/4th place play off at worst.

Uruguay v Brazil means we will see nunez or alisson back in training on or about thr 2
1st August.

Basically we can write off the south American players for the preseason.
