yeah he better win a trophy for the germany team because he's finished with trophies now that he moved from blues to the gunners

Just imagine though.
England winning the euros against Germany in the final on German soil would be the best moment in football since 1966.
Unlikely I know but while there is a chance…

Toeing the party lineWhat I don't get is why Oliver doesn't have the balls to stick by his initial decision.
Toeing the party line
He had no choice but to followed the rules set by ifab apparently.
The offside shows a toe was offside, technically right decision but doesn’t sit right with me.
The handball was also the correct decision apparently but for me it’s never a penalty as it wasn’t deliberate.
The real issue is the laws of the game, all this technology does is make sure they’re followed forensically.
If he doesn't have the ability to stick by his decision having been called to the screen then what's the point of calling him to the screen????
He defo had a choice.
Have you ever seen the call to the screen result in the original decision being held?If he doesn't have the ability to stick by his decision having been called to the screen then what's the point of calling him to the screen????

I have said for a long time now that football is a game played by humans at human speed and should be judged accordingly. He had no choice but to followed the rules set by ifab apparently.

The officials in the VAR room didn't over rule the ref, the tech did. If you listened to the American woman after the match you would have heard her explain that certain decisions by the Tec are now considered as final, two of these being off-side and handball.Yeah, I don’t think the officials in the Var room can overturn his decisions, so he has the choice to **** then off. That would come at a cost to him though, presumably.

Unfortunate but true.
The game is now gone because it's no longer controlled by humans. Goal line tech now decides if a goal is scored or not, Off-side is now defined by a boot size beimg bigger and handball is now called if a ball toutches an arm/hand because these are all measurable facts and human involvement is no longer needed.
Fouls are still left to a ref to determin after umpteen slow motion replays from different angles because they are not as easy to prove by tech.

Hosts have lost the final in the previous 2 Euros as well.
