2 millions euros will be paid in 3 installments. No info about installment timeline, I can check Turkish sources. https://www.kap.org.tr/tr/Bildirim/1302447
He's proving an effective impact substitute for them. I wonder if they are now quite keen to close the deal and sign him on a permanent. We could soon have a tug of war for his services between City and Bahia, didn't see that coming eight weeks ago!
Well Amed is not innocent too. They had a player who hid a razor blade and attacked 4 players during game and banned for life. https://x.com/CanKemaly418/status/1632482715390943238 When you talk about Turkey, you should understand that in most cases, both side did enough to blame.
Yeah, tell them we want him back & see how they react, if it’s, ok, then tell them we were just kidding, if they seem upset, then add a bit on & tell them to pay up!
As I understand installments are every 6 months, so only 660K is available for this transfer period. But my source is not the most trusted one.
Ozan Tufan will get roughly 1.5 million euros per season, with 10% increase every year denominated in Turkish Liras. Considering + 50% inflation, he will lose a lot of money in his 4 years contract, probably will end up less than 500K last year.
For FFP purposes it doesn’t matter €2m will go into the respective years accounts and whatever wages we save. If we were cash strapped and not that liquid then it would be an issue but the messages from Acun and Tan always appear for that not to be the case it’s purely the regulations
We can't have an impact sub on £30k a week. The Tufan deal saves us around £3m, £1.6m fee and £1.5m in wages and as long as Oscar's option is triggered that's £4.5m (£3m fee and £1.5m in wages). For a lad who's only got a year left on his deal plus, no option and blew hot and cold for us, bringing him back is a bit daft and we'd have been miles better off trying to keep Ozan. I do think it's good that we're coming away from having 2/3 really high earners on the books and I wouldn't be shocked to see Mika leave either. When you've got a £25m-ish wage bill, having 3 players on £1.5m each is very high (especially as they've not been our best players, Mika aside).
Oscar has only started 1 out of 8 League games. He started the first one and was subbed at half time. Since then he has come off the bench in each of the other 7 games and until the last 2 games hadn’t scored. He now has 3 goals in 2 games (43 mins in total off the bench). Unless he keeps this up I can’t see them coughing up £3million.
Bought for £4m, improved no end, 2 good goalscoring seasons in England, value must surely have doubled at least. Sold for €2m. Money laundering? Backhanders? Dunno what you’re on about. Omur seemed to come on an equally mental deal. I do find it a little concerning to be honest.
I agree, we've heard his large wages are the reason for the reduced fee but we signed him on those large wages for a substantially larger fee when his value was at rock bottom.
