It’s mind boggling to me that someone (who has never visited or seen with their own eyes) can trivialise Israel’s thirst for safety and pretend it’s some sort of platform for hate, given what’s happened to Jews in living memory for some. if you’re not old enough to remember real life Jew hate, then just rewind back to 7/10 when hundreds of thousands celebrated before Israel had responded. That is why Zionism is more important than ever. It is about safety. No myth, no pretence.

The perverse obsession people have with one tiny, tiny Jewish state that is surrounded by Islamic ethnostates craving its destruction is just weird really.

I think it’s because people on the left are genuinely low testosterone usually.

They often have never experienced real violence or terror. They sit in their mums basement pretending to know lots about the real world, when in reality all that they know is learned through reading and not lived experience. They don’t realise that sometimes true strength is needed to protect yourself and those you love.

I would go so far as to hazard a guess that there is a very strong correlation between left wing voters and never being in a fight before.

It’s why the meme of “good times create weak men” always seems to ring true to me.

You trying to say you're a hard man now Os? ****ing hell <laugh>

There is a woke mind virus. I don’t care that you choose to ignore it just because you have been brainwashed by propaganda.

It’s the same virus that tells me I’m far-right for noticing that my constituency is completely different in the last 20 years:

I’m NOT racist. I know that many of these people bring new & good things to the country.

But you and those on the left are trying to tell me to ignore the evidence of both data and my own eyes and tell me that mass immigration isn’t changing anything. At the very least there are real genuine concerns about letting millions of people (documented and undocumented) into the country and the impact it will have on infrastructure, culture and society.

You try and tell me that there is no LBGT agenda trying to sexualise our kids and create gender dysphoria.

But all these things I see everywhere, both with my eyes and in all of the data.

So yes. There is a woke mind virus. It begins with the uni party globalists and their depopulation agenda. It will continue with Starmer or Sunak if either of those win.
Barking appropriate barking mad.

Keep it coming Os, you’re on a roll mate <laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh>

Os, you conflate too many issues. The left are not a homogenous group and lots of us are with you on:

1. The right to be critical of transgender ideologies.
2. The pace of immigration.

However, on 1) being critical means not using derogatory terms or oversimplifying into ‘sexualising kids’. There is genuine reason to worry about women’s right with sport, for example - and nearly all sports have now become less trans tolerant. This is a transitional period and things are swaying from one side to another. It will settle into a place that works eventually.

2) I agree there is nothing racist with noticing cultural change. I grew up on Southampton estates and an not a middle class socialist. I have shown before that the areas with the most rapid social change voted most strongly for Brexit. And I have said many times that the working class man is more impacted by another plumber from Poland arriving than the middle class man who now gets cheaper rates. That said, schemes like Rwanda are barbaric and it is legal immigration that has gone through the roof. Invest in our own education- in social care and nursing- and we won’t need to bring in foreign workers.

I'm stealing that.....hilarious genius level!

I’d nuance this a bit …
There will and should always be some immigration and cultural churn, diversity is good
We should depend far less on foreign workers
We definitely should be investing more in our own people

We should also be supporting poorer countries to offer better opportunities for their own to reduce economic migration

Yeah, absolutely agree on all. If we could balance global wealth a little, fewer people would want to come here.

<laugh> Not at all.

I just look at the standard protestors at these antifa rallies, just stop oil etc. and there seems to be some common traits. They all look very much like they were bullied and are crying for help.

Blaming society instead of taking personal accountability. And their thoughts are easy to manipulate because of this

And so did the protesters against masks in the US. Extremists tend to be slightly unhinged.

O's lives in Barking.....you couldn't write it!
Proof that the gene pool in Barking needs expanding.

The flaw in your plan and is that in the stats I am not White British.

I however in my mind am White British 100% culturally as being brought up by an Italian Mother and Indian father meant that the upbringing was culturally British as that was the middle ground. I was born here, only speak English (Something I am not proud of), grew up in a 100% ‘white’ British community, but for the stats I am probably a foreigner or an immigrant.

How does that work then?

EDIT: Maybe I am racist then as I genuinely do not have one Indian, Black or any other foreigner as a friend. I do have Chinese neighbours though so do I pass the test.

Net migration is projected to fall to around 350,000, pre brexit levels, following the spikes caused by Hong Kong, Afghanistan and Ukraine

"Net migration of EU citizens has been negative since the pandemic and under the post-Brexit immigration system, with immigration falling by almost 70% compared to its 2016 peak." https://migrationobservatory.ox.ac.uk/resources/briefings/eu-migration-to-and-from-the-uk/

In November 2020, the Government announced aid spending would fall from 0.7% to 0.5% of Gross National Income (GNI) as a “temporary measure,” in response to the Covid-19 pandemic's effects on the UK's public finances and economy. It is not planned to return to 0.7% until at least after 2027/28.30 Oct 2023

Do you ever consume any think pieces that aren’t aimed at America? Because pretty much no one in the U.K. has a basement. So that entire mum’s basement cliche is just not something that exists in our zeitgeist. We just don’t use that to describe people in this country

As to the not being in a fight - there is a word for such people. Sensible
