Convinced me self that we’d never get a manager again. Glad it’s done, now go and back him. Need 3-4 quality ready made players to compliment what we have
welcome aboard reg lad. feck it, now i have the 'season start feeling' ie: everything is gonna be git good...not just because the coach search is finally over but the fact that quite a few things are happening, as i mentioned last night, this could be fun. ...or it could be just another sunderland season lol.
It's the first manager since Jack Ross whom we've appointed in the summer. Hopefully this means he has some power to get some guarantees about transfers...
Like every new manager, I wish him the best of luck. He's got a decent young squad there, very important transfer window coming up.
Houllier was one of my favourite overseas coaches in this country. Always thought he was outstanding. Puel probably better than he appeared. Jean Tigana was a success? Interestingly (to me anyway) was Hoddle immersing himself in French football. Then coming back here. I like French academies. I know a bit about how they work. Lots of alignment with ours.
I probably should have but I didn’t realise that Le Bris who plays for Lorient is Regis Les Bris’ son.
Ah right. Just that Twitter link up this page says it’s his son. Either way, I probably should have assumed that they were related rather than it just being a common surname (that I’d never heard before).
I’m really keen to find more (mainly tactical and statistical) analysis from neutral sources about Lorient last season if anyone can help please?
