How much would you actually pay for Tufan if he belonged to another club and had 3/4 years on his contract? Although I like him, personally, I wouldn't sign him at all but if I was attempting to be fair maybe 3.5m? so 2m euros for a player that wants to go, has struggled at times with consistency and is in and out of the team makes sense to me.

And a year left on his contract, which is the key thing.

I just get the feeling the Ozan sale is about FFP, sale has been agreed quickly and quietly - nothing leaked until it was virtually over the line. Also new FFP period commences on the 1st July, fee is quite low but the saving on his wages will be massive. Interesting times ahead in this close and pre-season.

I don’t know exactly what Tufan was on wage wise or what we paid for him. But I’d say 10 goals and 2 assists is the minimum required to justify the spend.

Its not the money per se
Its that it means its yet another new player needed
Who needs to bed in
And not many midfielders will score 18 in 2 seasons, especially for 2m!!

So walter needs ateast 2 seasons as he has to bed more than half a team in

Omurs probably thinking why fk did i come here
Lost his turkey spot
Tufans gone to.his old team

Early days of course but can't help thinking next season might be a season of transition when if we'd stuck with Liam it would have been a season of development. But appreciate I might feel differently in a month's time.

Cant help but thinking if we had stuck with ",liam"....it would mean every time we where at home i would be bored absolutely ****less, and my Saturday afternoon totally ruined by the boring ****...well done acun

Our transfer policy has been so haphazard and scatter gun we’re essentially relying on a youth product to bail us out FFP wise.

Mix that with the fact he hasn’t invested in youth academy it doesn’t bode well right now

That leaves us with just about 8 players who are good enough to be starting and two of those will probably leave. The rest are deadwood and fringe players who’ve been on loan. Pre-season training starts in just over a week. Really piss-poor planning.
It was always going to be the case with FFP, sell what you can, release what you can to get the money in/ wages off the books before the end of June. The new year for FFP starts in July when the window opens. OK it's not an ideal situation, but trust the process. Walter will know who he wants and there'll be loads on work going on behind the scenes bringing in new recruits, until the window closes there's not much of a point in getting stressed out, as quite a few on here are, just go with the flow.

**just seen the window is open now, but still the same process due to the FFP Window
