ok entering dumb question city here, and apologies if this has already been covered -

As this is a 10 game rolling average, does that graphic show that virtually every team played against was better? So all tough games. Is this both the did well season and the relegation season together?
It factors in both seasons so each dot on the graph reflects that game in his tenure plus the 9 before it with an average taken. It is showing that on a ten game average throughout his entire tenure, Lorient were expected to concede more than they scored based on the quality of chances created in those games.

However, I think some perspective is possibly needed on this as in both seasons, Lorient would have been expected to be underdogs in the majority of games that they played and therefore most games you would expect to see their opposition create more than them. If this is what the graph looked like on a game by game basis then it would be concerning but there's some other data and articles earlier in the thread that will paint him in a better light.

All about balance really, is a bit underwhelming for me but want to see what he brings here and judge him off that, many of successful managers have a relegation on their CV, hope he's a fit here.

So will this be locked once he gets announced, how does it work on here? then I guess we will all be on the summer window thread haha

Might as well keep it going - it's clear that we're better at succession planning than anyone at the club.

No, we'll all just gradually drift away from the thread and eventually it will be forgotten about.

Then in 7 years time, as we're about to play our second successive Champions League quarter final, someone will revive it and we'll all marvel that there was once a time when some people distrusted 'the model' and weren't happy with appointing Regis.

<ok>
More likely that he’ll be winning the champions league with Leyton Orient and we’ll be moaning that we sacked him too soon!

I’m in
There is, but id rather be positive about it until i see what he does with us (if it is him)

Recruiting managers n players isnt an exact science at all, if it was everyone would be succesful with it. Sometimes to find the hidden gems its on the back of them having a bad season but we have identified something in them that would work for us

Hopefully find out more info today
Yeah. We have identified that he is cheap and willing to work with Dodds and Proctor

I'm not getting all the hatred towards Dodds like. The players apparently love him. So why would we want to get rid of him. The new bloke has also been wrote off before he's even signed. Unbelievable some fans. if it doesn't work then so what, we will find someone else. He has my full backing, as does Dodds.

People seem to need scapegoats nowadays, Dodds wasn’t up to the managers position but his coaching abilities seem to be being criticised for no other reason than he’s not done the business as a manager.

What even IS a "yes man" and why is this a bad thing?

Yeh the "Yes man" criticism is one I don't go along with. The argument is that he's saying yes to joining our club under the current structure and that makes him a yes man.

Firstly we don't even know yet if he's going to be assisted by Dodds

Secondly it doesn't make him a yes man. A yes man is somebody who just does exactly what he's told all the time. This is a guy who even from the limited I know about him, has fallen out with his current owners. That doesn't suggest a "yes man" to me.
