https://twitter.com/ertansuzgun/status/1804126223733346338 Trabzonspor reached an agreement with the player on every issue for the transfer of Ozan Tufan. The maroon-blue team has also made important progress in transfer negotiations with Hull City.
Never really rated Ozan. He did well last year and pulled me round, a natural number 10 he is not, I don’t really know what he is.
Recruitment has been quite poor under Acun. Just so haphazard and short-sighted. Too much reliance on loan players in key positions and having to overhaul every summer isn’t a good strategy.
Yeh, I agree and was one of the ones who felt the roll of the dice in January was the wrong approach hoping for a more long-term approach. I hope that we start addressing these issues in this window and I think on balance getting some money for Tufan and freeing his wages would be a good decision in trying to get there. You would also have to presume Tim has other ideas beyond Tufan too.
I hope it doesn't unsettled Omur - the one player, along with Philogene and Tufan (both now likely going) that I was excited about for next season under Walter. Sounds too good for Tufan to turn down, and I get the positives from our side too (fee, wages, etc) but a bit gutted still. The already massive rebuild just got even more... err ...massiver
Replace Tufan with a cheaper (wages) more round player and its good business. Walter isn't going to play with a team full on 10s. He plays 4-3-3 from what I can see and surely Abdus is the starting 10. I actually think Seri is going to leave too - I just don't think he's got the mobility and pace for Walter's style. If you get 8-10mil combined for both Tufan and Seri and bring in Benes and Reis from Hamburg - is the good business, maybe? If we free some of the wages that was spent in that first window up it might also free us up to be more competitive in what is quite a strong free agent market; Cody Drameh - close to signing last summer, Tan alluded to interest, would cost compo Tyrese Campbell Chris Willock
it really has so much for trying to be like brentford or brighton we look so ****ing amateur and short sighted
i wouldnt be surprised if seri goes to the middle east, he will get far more money and doubt he wants another slog of championship football, but will need to be on a free
Always been a great fan of Tufan. I think and thought he brought so much to the team so if this is true there will be big boots to fill. As for so GFAW post about unsettling Omur, I wouldn't worry as im pretty sure there will be some Turkish incoming. Maybe part of the deal for Tufan from Trabsonspor will include someone coming this way..
I know Chazz He's not a 'complete' ****er *if he was it is probably better than being an incomplete one anyway
Tufan is/was one of my favorite City players he always has an eye for a first time pass, that invariably was completed, resulting in the game being opened up. And he has a hell of a shot on him. Will miss him if he goes.
