Interesting that that article states he's under contract until 2027 and that Lorient won't give up without a fight. Looks like we'd have to stump a decent amount of compensation for him.

That was based on his excellent season 22/23. Last season he got relegated and is apparently on the verge of the sack. Reports are that he’ll resign today as they’ve lined up their next coach. Personally don’t think we’ll pay any compensation at all.
We’re a very fickle breed, he comes in we sign 3 or 4 what’s seen as good players and the tide turns everyone starts looking forward to the friendlies/season

Told you already mate there’s only two ways this goes. He goes on a stormer and takes us to the PL or he’s sacked by Christmas there’s no in between.
Since he’s only had two seasons one very good and one very bad I’m not gonna fully judge him especially with the quality that was brought in to replace who he lost which wasn’t near the quality of the ones he lost.
I 100% get the apprehension I’m in the same boat but I’m a little more open to it.

I did my presentation on Stephen Kings earlier novels and their similarity with horror classics. I would suggest that the agreement will be that we pay Le Bris a larger than normal signing on fee to compensate him for the pay off he will be foregoing by resigning rather than waiting to be sacked. I think those will have been the negotiations between the three parties.

Was thinking the exact same thing. Works for all parties. Lorient happy he goes without a pay off, we’re happy to not pay compensation, Le Bris happy with a bumper signing on fee and staying in a job.
Really think it’s him at this point and I’m going to make a conscious effort to be positive about the situation. Needs the fans onside. Just hope he’s allowed an assistant so he’s not here on his own.
