even the good players were crap today. pitch didn't help, but what an utter shambles. i'm going out for some chocolate biscuits. i deserve something after enduring that. the faffing about at the back system at its worst today, shown up by a team playing standard division 3 stuff.

Possession football is only effective if you play a high line and control the ball in the middle of the pitch and preferably in the opposition’s half.

Sitting deep whilst attempting possession football and playing out from the back is the most schizophrenic tactical approach I’ve ever seen. Our press was woeful and so uncoordinated. Every now and again one or two of our forwards would press man for man but the rest of the midfield and back line didn’t push forward so all Denmark had to do was play a few simple passes and they beat the press. Southgate is a clown and has no place coaching a team like this.

Also, playing two holding midfielders and not giving one license to get forward is like wearing a belt and braces. For ****’s sake, drop Alexander-Arnold, stick Bellingham next to Rice as a number 8, move Foden central and have an actual winger on the left to provide pace and directness.

I think he’ll start Gallagher next game and we’ll see more of the same.

Only caught the last twenty minutes...England players looked as if they had swapped their football boots for divers boots.....Utter $hite.....
Said it before, over hyped and not as good as they think..Plus they've got Southgate!!!!....Big changes required in every department....

We've never replaced the threat from the left that Sterling and Rashford provided. The lack of a left back makes it even worse as we've got no width

On paper we've got one of the best(if not THE best) squads in this tournament.

On the pitch we look like one of the worst...That's fundamentally absurd!!!

It shows no matter how good the players Rosieball doesn’t work.

what i found baffling though
was regardless of how he played,, hes played there precisely to make passes

but hes taken off, and then england make changes that stretches the play, (that was why arnold was playing there) with eze, watkins and bowen, but he had taken offarnold off for Gallagher, so it doesnt even make sense, he doesnt even play to his strengths

and another testament to how ****e they were, arnold still created englands most chances, he was off at like 54 mins

Southgate will go down in history has the England coach who had so much talent as his disposal, but pi$$ed it up against a wall with woeful team selection and $hit tactics.

We were pretty awful all night but the substitutions destroyed any coherence we had. At the end, just about every kick of the ball was a mishit. It was really bad.

Nothing really worked but Rice and Bellingham both had shockers and that impacted massively.

Alexander-Arnold in midfield isn't working.

Kane, the goal aside, was very poor.

I'd persevere with Foden. He's the second best footballer in the team. We need to get a tune out of him.
