If we're about to announce it (as in waiting for the go ahead), that to me suggests its neither Cifuentes, or Le Bris. Surely neither of those will be announced without the press, either up here, QPR, or even L'Equipe getting wind of it due to compensation stuff. Suggests to me it's either Maric, or someone not currently in a job.
one thing I would say, kudos for the club keeping that close to thier chests that the fraud Nixon and Italain fraud havent got a clue. bet they are both seething they havent been able to break the story
I wonder if the new coach will insist on football boots being the same colour as the shorts. It would make for a better spectacle in my opinion.
I get this thinking with players, because 100s of players get linked per transfer window, but I'm not sure staying so tight lipped on the head coach front is actually a good thing. No other club seemingly has kept this quiet, even as recently as Leicester, good journalistic sources knew about Potter and knew about Cooper, same thing with Chelsea, same with Liverpool before Slot was announced etc... It allows the fans to know what's going on with the search. Because we've been SO tight lipped, and its dragged on so long, it's created a vacuum for rumours to spiral and for the club to have to brief the media to say X and Y aren't under consideration. It creates hysteria in not knowing, it creates more work for the club, it means KLD has to make a statement saying he hopes it's imminent when it quite clearly isn't. This adds more tension and doubt on the hierarchy from the fans who have no idea what's going on, club gets labelled a laughing stock and everyone is cynical that the club actually know what they're doing. Get it out in the media that we're working on X and Y and at least we know where we stand. I think being this quiet on the head coach front is actually counter-productive.
Keeping things clean and leak free is great if we are going about our business in an effective and professional manner behind the scenes. Keeping things leak free while dawdling and ****ing around isn't really much reason for any kind of celebration at all. Kind of a cherry on top kind of situation. Cherry on a sundae, fantastic. Cherry on top of a **** sandwich, still a **** sandwich. It seems I'm moving further towards the dark side of disappointment at the club. Come on KLD, win me back!
