I really am flummoxed as to how and why its taking us SO much longer than any other club in finding and securing a head coach. Only us and Burnley left without a Head Coach in the 92 now and they're lining up RVN. Every other team has had either a manager leave or been sacked and found a replacement long since we've known we need one.

It's baffling at this point

Everyone else is daft and we’re doing it the correct way obviously…

Not sure you're getting my point, which was that Pep has the resources to buy the players he wants to play his system, and, conversely, whether Fat Sam could get a tune out of the same players is open to conjecture!<laugh> However, most of us were expecting a dour set-up from Mowbray when he arrived, which proved not to be the case once he'd got to grips with the players we had.....seeming to adapt his former style and adjust.
I wasn't expecting a dour set up by Mowbray because his Blackburn team wasn't dour. Which is why we should appoint someone who has played football that already suits this squad, instead of appointing someone who has to adapt.

Someone like Le Bris would have to adapt and change massively, so why not appoint someone who doesn't have to change?

This list off the top of my head are teams that have either sacked or had a manager leave and replaced them in a shorter time that us;

Ajax
Reims
Lens
Nice
Brighton
Chelsea
Liverpool
West Ham
Plymouth
Leicester
Birmingham
Norwich
Huddersfield
Hull
Rotherham
Barnsley
Bayern
Dortmund

There's probably more

Is that from the end of the season though? After all the club did say that Dodds would be in charge until the end of the season.

Perhaps dour wasn't the right word....say,less attacking and flamboyant,I think I meant. I understand what you say,but I still think good coaches will look at the players available to them and look to get the best from them, even if having to deviate from their pre-defined,maybe preferred tactical approach.

I'm pretty sure it is although I can be corrected. The only anomaly I can see in my list is Liverpool as Klopp knew he was leaving during the season. However, like us, he only left after the season had finished. Liverpool still did their work, identified a target, and sorted a coach pretty much straight away.

Maybe more things are changing then just the head coach! Just a thought.
