East stand, didn't hear or see anything. Doesn't mean I don't believe you, but I don't believe it's as bad as you are making out.
We were 10th in the league, going through a bit of bad form, I've got news for you, whoever we hire next will go through bad form at some point. Honestly I question the mentality of someone who thinks we were right to sack Mowbray, we were still in the hunt for top-6, we were never, ever getting in front of Leicester, Leeds and Southampton for the top-2. Anyway, what you thought was the correct decisions saw us land in 16th, that is your personal just desserts.
Yep. Just more red and white blinkered denial. The amount of times there’s been boo’s when we’re losing at half time, cheering when players are subbed after they’ve been poor etc.
If we were top and ten points clear with two games to play, you'll still get folk posting on " how ****e " the atmosphere is.
I sit in the west stand and the atmosphere was ****e. I remember early in the season when read to go came in, it would echo around the ground. Lucky if you heard it slightly near the end of the season
Mate in my stand if you start singing and chanting you get stared at as if you’ve just **** in their prawn sandwiches
You can look at his whole career and see how much of a bang average steady championship manager he is. Exactly what we needed at the time but was never going to have a long shelf life. Getting rid wasn't a mistake, it was everything afterwards that was a balls up.
We have gone off track here from the thread, which is expected like due to the absolute silence on the head coach front! Saying that I'm in the East stand, in between half way line and the North Stand. Away fans sound louder than the south stand on most games even if there is a small allocation, mostly due to them sitting upstairs in what is essentially a massive megaphone of a stand. Said many times before moving the fans up there was a huge mistake with regards to the atmosphere.
According to prehab’s source him and scout have heard there should be news today. What that news is regarding no one knows
It's confusing to me how you can accurately diagnose what Mowbray can offer, but not how that is exactly what we need. It is unlikely we are ever going to have the funds available to us to effectively challenge for the top-2, considering the teams that come down will have Premier League money and players (Leicester, Leeds etc), plus there will always be a team or two who are throwing money at getting promoted (Ipswich), this means we have to build towards being a side capable of winning the playoffs. That is exactly what Mowbray was doing. We got rid and finished 16th. Fail.
Been a mental day at work today so just getting caught up on the many pages But yeah i heard similar to prehab in that there could be an announcement today I was told that we have really positive talks with a manager and they are really keen to come - still a few details to sort out though. The person that messaged me, sent me a message earlier saying today is a huge day - im taking that as its decision day from all parties but that is me guessing as thats all I've had from him Always wary of passing on info as dont want to give anyone false hope as weve been here before but thats what I've been told anyway The person that told me is pretty reliable and not a sh*t stirrer so no reason to not believe him
I've banged on about this for a while. In my opinion, the atmosphere in our stadium is nowhere as good as we like to make out it is. The build up is reserved at best....it does create an atmosphere, but it often seems muted. Most people seem to want to stay in the bar on the concourse than get into their seat and create some noise. And I've never been able to understand why Wise Men Say is so short.....there's one verse and that's it....takes about 30 secs. It's almost like we can't get it over quickly enough. I've said before on here....I've taken friends and family to a match, and they have been very underwhelmed....often surprised and disappointed at how it lacks as to what they thought they were going to get, so much so that I've stopped taking visitors.
