There are a myriad of reasons why our form tailed off last season, also it was February to May - 15 games over a 3 month period where our form dropped off. That is such a small sample size - even Beale had us 6th in the league before we hit a brick wall. Up to and including the Plymouth game, we averaged 1.5 points per game over the previous 77 games. The last 15 games of the season saw us average 0.6 points per game and whilst that is a clear downturn it doesn't automatically mean we are in a relegation battle next season. Far from it IMHO

What are you going on about, I'm talking about you don't need a head coach to tell a player about fitness levels preseason

Controversial opinion, but Beale would have had us higher up than Dodds did. The players completely gave up for the last 15 games of the season

You continue that form from our last 15 games across a season and its relegation

Iirc Dodds defensive methods impacted on Mowbray as the wheels came off

That would definitely have been the case. His pattern of results was largely the same as Mowbray's had been up until he left. Win and lose roughly the same amount, draw the occasional game.

It's not as simple as that. There is nothing to suggest we will play as badly ALL of next season as we did for A THIRD of last season.

Nothing suggests anything has changed, especially the failure to recruit a head coach

I wonder if we revisited Julian Sable at any point? Just been looking at articles about Digard and saw that Sable has been rumoured to be taking over from Farioli at Nice before the old Lens manager was confirmed.

Kind of controversial but kind of not.

Beale clearly shat the bed and lost the dressing room. I think if he'd stayed the season would have turned out similar to how it did.

If pressure hadn't been unreasonably applied to him from the moment he showed up and his meltdown had been avoided, I think he'd have had us in a much better spot come season's end.

Its also about 2 months till the season start so not sure why folk are saying we'll be relegated nxt season

We have a whole transfer window to go and we will appoint a manager (at some point)

How we did last season wont have an impact on nxt season, the only way it might have is if we have the same manager in charge - dodds will 100% not be the manager next season

Now i get folk feeling down about the fact we havent got a manager in yet however, really dont understand writing off next season. I understand not being excited for next season at the minute but thats totally different to writing off the season

Our squad isnt good enough to challenge for promotion but its def better than being involved in a relegation battle - obviously we would need a half decent manager for that and not a mike dodds type!!

And if we replicate our form from the 15 we’d have a good chance of promotion. Understandably we focus on the second half of the season because it was awful but it really only needs three really good bits of recruitment to improve on Mowbray’s form- head coach, central midfielder and striker.

They sacked Mowbray and failed with the recruitment last season, again we still haven't got a head coach. Nothing has changed.

Yeah people are down after the way the last few months went, but it's nonsense to suggest we are going to get relegated. It's a clean slate for everyone and the sooner we appoint a manager things will pick up.

We need to get our arses in gear though, time is ticking away...
