If this "other news" was going to delay the appointment of a head coach then 1) why have we been interviewing and made at least 1 offer and 2) why would KLD make an announcement last week to say it's imminent?

I wonder if there is any other reason we are not making progress with a head coach.. IF (and there have been a few unauthenticated rumours that KLD wants to sell his shares) then that would make a deal of sense, but if not that, there has to be another reason that a club of our size simply cannot appoint a suitable replacement for Beale given the timeframe they have had to look at potential candidates

Not saying that's the exact reason. Of course there are other issues at play in that space. I have noted these on here plenty. However, just saying that there is also developments in the space off the pitch.

Yes a new manager is big news and is also a change ahead. It’s bound to happen eventually.
If we are replacing speakman then just maybe we have a replacement lined up and he has made some requirements of the head coach he wants. Thus the time its taking. Im probably talking bollox like

Nightmares Wayne, nightmares. And we’ve had bloody loads of them recently.
Not sure about this. Some of the best I’ve seen football wise but also some of the worst, those criticising possession football would lose the plot, and he’s not succeeded elsewhere. No idea how well he could structure things as a DOF. I like him though and he’s not a yes man , would love him involved somewhere. Might make better first team decisions.
