Lampard goes into a similar boat as Heckingbottom for me. 3 months ago I'd have said no thanks and hoped we could do better.

Now I just want a Head Coach so could get on board with it.

Still hoping for Marti or Maric

Not for me Great player and liked him as a pundit.
but did not think he was great as a manager. Derby team were workman like. Did OK to start at Chelsea but was found out tactically
Was a disaster at Everton. Kept them up but thats about it awful to watch.

The way I looked at it he came into Chelsea after Sarri who’s labelled as one of the biggest managers in the world. Managed a top 4 finish and had them top of the CL group when they parted ways because they were signing players he didn’t want. There’s nothing to say he wouldn’t have won the CL if he stayed the remainder of the season instead of Tuchel taking over and finishing it off. Tuchel only also managed a top 4 finish his full season and is considered world class. Potter came in and had a disaster, also highly thought of.

Everton he followed on from Benitez, took over when they were 17th I think and kept them up working with the constraints they had. Realistically they were never going to be playing teams off the park their squad is/was poor.

I know its not happening and means nowt, I'm just enjoying watching SkyBet cave in on itself

Lampard now 1/2
Rosenior 6/1
Marti 9/1

If it is cant get my head around the clubs thinking.
Appoint Beale. Chase Still for months linked with loads of you progressive European managers
Settle on Lampard. Makes no sense to me.

All good arguments just never liked watching his teams play. But what will be will be

Mates are adamant they want Lampard. Really don’t understand it like.
1st stint at Chelsea went well, done alright at derby, the type of coach a lot of young players will already love due to watching him while growing up. He would have something to prove surely. Great with young players too. Just a few positives I can think of
