An obligation to buy has all the personal terms agreed already, if he's happy to come, he comes. If he'd rather go to Boro, then he'll go there and they'll just match everything we were offering.
Presumably the personal terms would be outlined in the original agreement and we'd be obliged to offer whatever we agreed to offer him then.
I see. So contract length and wages would already been agreed in advance, it’s just up to Giles whether he signs now?
Basically yes, you don't agree to an obligation to sign a player, without knowing how exactly much it's going to end up costing.
If they sell to Boro for more than 4.5, could we go to Luton and say where's our share of the difference...?
No, either we buy him, or we don't. If we're not buying him, what they do is nothing to do with us and will have been determined by the player anyway.
If baz walked in a room piss wet through and told me it was raining, I'd still go check outside myself
I've always took the impression that Baz is basically now the unofficial club's mouthpiece. Whether it's intentional or not he drops little bits of info in that podcast that do seem to come to fruition.
He obviously does get correct bits of info, more then probably anyone else, but the fact he posts some much ****e as well just to hit click quotas etc for the rag he works for just doesn't help him and his credibility
Watched his latest podcast with Prutton etc and basically he is told to fill space by the bosses so almost apologised he has to provide column inches however almost he can .
We always seem to want one of their players can’t say he’s a priority position we need yet Fenerbache always get a decent fee for an out of favour player
Honestly, this would seem like another Acun ego signing. Guy can barely run and Walter doesn’t even play with a number 10 anyway. He plays with a solid defensive midfielder and two energetic number 8s. Ömur, Tufan and Slater can play in the number 8 positions because they will run themselves into the ground and like to roam around and get forward, like Reis and Bénes do for Hamburg. Zajc might be one of the laziest players I’ve ever seen. I remember watching Fenerbahçe against Olympiakos in the Conference League a few months ago and he only came on around the 85th minute and looked more knackered and did less running than the players who played the full 120 minutes. Tbh, I don’t see how Seri would fit under Walter and less so how Zajc would. Acun’s never dispelling the money-laundering allegations so long as he keeps signing Fenerbahçe’s deadwood for City.
Spot on. He’s a great player but if Acun is banging on about not having much to spend this is certainly not where money should be going
