One of the worst things Speakman ever said was that we are always evaluating potential coaches as part of the succession plan. It might be the case that the club does monitor coaches and have a list, but that is a very different thing from being able to appoint someone. Speakman really does need to shut the **** up. All these things he comes out with are generally the opposite of what happens. He's just making us and him look ****ing stupid.

Disagree. I suspect he'll get a new deal so long as the season starts okay, it might not even be announced publicly if it's thought there might be a negative reaction.

I just hope the uproar if its Heckingbottom is aimed at the club / Speakman, not Heckingbottom himself. It's not the bloke's fault.

He's a better manager than Beale, and may even end up a good appointment. But the process to get here is what was absolutely shocking.
