utter garbage imo. Commentators go on about him like he’s Maradona, and I wouldn’t touch him here! Looks awful every time I’ve seen him play! I’d rather play without a striker
There's nothing tinpot about Rosenior as a championship coach, he did well with Hull and isn't 40 yet. There are better jobs out there, Burnley for one. Miles better in their case. I don't see why him not joining means we're some hopeless basket case of a club.
Worth pointing out, as it has been reported, Rosenior hasn't turned us down. He wasn't offered a contract, he dropped out. You assume we aren't going one coach at a time and that we are taking several candidates through the process.
Burnley have a ready made squad for a title challenge, if he knows there interested he'd be mad to not want that job. Seems to have a relatively patient fan base too the way they stuck with Kompany during last season.
I know it's been dismissed by the club, but I seriously think they should re consider Challinor. I appreciate He hasn't managed a top team, but he needs to be given a chance. Everywhere he has been he has had an excellent win percentage, plays high press, and his teams score lots of goals. We could be his springboard and be the next Keegan, but yes he could be s***e but he won't cost much to replace. We want to play a young team to develop, why not a youngish manager with fresh ideas, and an attractive way of playing. His playing style would probably suit our attacking players, including Rigg, who may then want to commit to the lads for a few more years
Is that the guy who was taking Stoke back to League One? Also, his biggest personality trait was loyalty if I can remember….
On the flip side you don’t drop out of an interview on the off chance that you may get the other job in the same league unless you have some reservations.
Was it his choice? Because I had read once he wanted more time we decided to move on, if that is true I agree its what we should do
Wonder if the club have considered Ruben Selles at all. Bit of a footy nerd, great job at Reading this season keeping them up while dealing with transfer embargoes, points deductions and players not being paid. Forced to use a lot of young players and played positive football. Wouldn't turn my nose up at him.
If we are after Cifuentes then you would think rumours would be ramping up around QPR giving us permission to talk to him. I can't see how we could approach QPR and agree permission to talk to him without the press getting hold of it, after all QPR won't want to be seen by their fans as just bending over if we get him.
Depends whether he has a release clause or we'd need to negotiate compensation. If it's release clause nothing they can do other than hope he turns us down, releasing anything before he accepts the job would just cause unnecessary panic within the fan base. If it was a case of negotiating compensation I imagine we'd hear something, so they could show they fought to keep him and milked us for as much as possible. That's if we are even in for him...
