There is of course still time to turn this around, but its feeling more likely we wont have a head coach for the transfer window opening. We are currently at a disadvantage to every team in the league in the sense, other than Burnley (who tbf have a far better squad), every team has a manager in place and ready to attack the transfer window when it opens. Yes, our structure means the head coach doesnt necessarily get the final say on transfers, but they will/should have a say nonetheless and making signings before a head coach is in place would feel daft for me.
The joke of it is, is that we wrote off a third of a season which should of allowed us to be better prepared than anyone going into this window opening. We need to get it done this week, there's no more excuses for Speakman and KLD. We have some good foundations for a good season ahead, lets not put those to waste and get cracking for preseason.

Getting into the playoffs in 22/23 without a striker for half a season was an achievement. Granted it was our (the club's) decision not to get another striker in.
And the club statement, end of season report will be interesting. My theory on the lack of 23/24 review is because Speakman has been removed to u21 review and now has nothing to do with manager recruitment or player recruitment. He'll be removed from his post in August/September after he's done a handover to the new DoF.

Unless it's because it's the right thing to do for the club. KLD did say he was only the custodian here so handing over the club in the best state would be the honourable course of action.
Sadly, this does not surprise me at all. The way some of our fans have been behaving towards the club and individuals such as KLD and KS has been disgusting and ridiculous.
You only have to look at the socials to see grown men behaving like petulant children with the abuse that they routinely dish out when they read or hear something that they don't like.

I can definitely buy in to KLD wanting to sell. 100%. To me it would explain Speakman still being in post.
I think the BCB fiasco and the reaction ended the love for him. I think he was taken well aback by that reaction. Not blaming the fans before anybody comes crying at me - just that I think it will have shocked him
