Understand the highly-rated Dan Neil has turned down a new deal at [HASHTAG]#SAFC[/HASHTAG]. One of the factors believed to be the uncertainty surrounding the club's failure to appoint a new manager after more than 100 days. Neil has made 149 starts in the last three seasons.

Dan wants to stay, he's waiting to see who the new head coach is going to be as he feels he's been messed about bit this year.

Cook has scum in his bio
**** stirring as usual

it's not i posted a month ago he was in talks for a new contract i do believe it's been put on hold till who the new gaffer is, same for clarke in that thes a chance he stays if he's happy with it,

but rigg and neil both paused talks
I still believe Rigg will leave.

I mean, it doesn't take a genius to work out that he'll want to know if he's going to get game time with the new head coach before potentially turning down some of the biggest clubs in the world. So he's obviously not going to sign anything until we have a new head coach...who would?
Head Coach changes are common, how many have we had during Rigg's development, there's more to it than just the head coach position. Big bucks are hard to turn down but many a career has been ruined by going to a big club and not making the first team.
As usual, a lot of click bait out there and unfortunately our club, at the moment is easy meat.
Let's hope we get the right coach onboard as soon as possible so we can all move on.

I’m getting pretty fed up. I said at the start of last week that we needed someone in by weekend just gone. We got a statement saying they hope to make an appointment imminently. That was 4 days ago. It just isn’t good enough like, I’m sorry.

It hasn’t been for a long time tbh. Shambles.

Probably bollocks but it'll be crossing a few player's (and agent's)minds to varying degrees. How could it not.
Why would it be bollocks? It’s believable. Neil is a good player who’ll have plenty of interest. Why would he sign a new deal without knowing who the next manager was?

Just the source mate.

If I was his agent and with no affiliation to SAFC I'd be telling him this is the year he really needs to kick on to get a big move, but if the new manager doesn't fancy him he might not even be in the team.
